The main difference is in a signal path! That is the most important thing to consider when choose amplifier with preamp,or integrate amp,or Av .The signal is the most clean on Preamp with Amp!

I just picked up a beautiful Sansui G-8000 and a Phase linear 400 series, I plan on running 2 sets of my Cerwin Vega E-712’s on the stereo and my beloved D9’s on the amp. My question is what are the pros and cons of me using my spare mids out of the E series that’s 4 ohms in my D9’s that are 8 ohms. I’m waiting on my replacement parts in the mail and I have spare mids .

Which Cerwin Vega speakers do you think sound better, the D 9's or the VS-150's? I have a set of the VS-150's that I just reconed, and they do sound great but I need to upgrade the old passive crossover networks in them still, but if the D9's sound better, maybe I'll just get a set of those and restore them. What ya think?

Hi there, thanks for your great videos and tons of information you gave us! In a older video (I don’t know why I cannot comment there) you rated the 10 best Cerwin Vega, and I think you putted as a second the SV150??? I’m trying to understand which one is but when I google it there are similar models coming up with the same name, I don’t know .. Would you be kind to send me a link which direct me to the exactly model you are retiring? Thanks in advance, Iacopo

@RossiAudio

Yeah that RX receiver is not even close to be good enough. You need real power amps. LS15 are some of the most demanding CV speakers, they "eat receivers" like an appetizer.

That amp is not nearly powerful enough. Especially if you use loudness etc., which drains even more power from the amp.

I have a Project/one Mark 800. What would you consider that? It is a receiver but you have to have a jumper to go from the built-in preamp to the built-in amp. What would you call that? And is it okay to use?
@AT-wl9yq
@AT-wl9yq Жыл бұрын
That's a very good option. Its done that way so you can use your integrated amp as a power amp or a preamp. Making the connection externally completely bypasses all the circuitry for the half of the integrated that's not in use.

Hello sir . I just found your video while I was looking for info on mixers on google. You seem very knowledgeable so I have a question that I hope you can answers. I have two different pairs of active speakers, one is the Kali in 8 and the other is the Edifier s3000pro. One have xlr balance inputs the other have RCA. Ok the question is. Can I use a mixer to connect both pairs at once so the same audio plays in all the speakers? For example TV audio or streaming devices or also a turn table. If so can you recommend a mixer for me that sounds well and don't break the bank? I thank you in advance and send my respect from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷😎✌️. Be safe. Also is there such a thing as a hi fi mixer?

@@teddybonkers337 You're correct, but it doesn't always work. Balanced and single ended components are not compatible. Your system is not balanced, and because its not balanced, using the xlr connection is electrically identical to your rca connections.

Just curious to why did he have to turn off comments on his Klipsch Hersey review (2017) cause it's a false and negative view point maybe ?! Speakers are a matter of opinion and everyone hears things differently. I think he knew when he did that review on the Hersey he'd get a TON of negative feedback maybe ? Yes I own a pair of Klipsch Herseys1's and use them as my rear speakers to a pair of Chorus2's and they rock ! They aren't the only speakers I've ever owned but I worked my way up to them for what I could afford. Now that I'm older and have more $ I can't see replacing them for any reason other then vanity! I will agree that horn speakers sound arent for everyone and obviously he's not one of those folks ! My issue is that he fails to EVER in that review say it's his opinion or give a speaker choice for a comparison that in that price point that is better than the Klipsch Herseys 1-4 ! So as far as his opinion is concerned I'll quote Paul Klipsch and call it what is is "BULLSHIT" !! But then again he likes the sound of Cerwin Vegas so I really dont need to say much more then that ! Go listen to a pair for yourself and you decide what sounds best to your ear. That's the bottom line and what matters only in the end cause it's your money and your ears that will be hearing it in your setting not his or mine ! But as far as my opinion goes , Klipsch are amazing and will last you a lifetime ! My Herseys1's are about as old as I am (53) and are still crisp as day one, and can handle whatever music I choose to play through them. Anything from AcDc to Zappa they crank it out and ask for more. They dont need a ton of power to give you great sound either , but when hooked up to bigger power they truly come alive. And as far as LIVE recorded music goes I dare you to show me a speaker for the same money that can hang with the Herseys or any Klipsch speaker dollar for dollar for that matter !!
