Power Automate vs Logic Apps You should use Logic Apps instead of Power Automate when you need to automate complex or infrastructure-level business processes that require more control and customization. Logic Apps is designed for IT professionals, developers, and integrators who can work with JSON code and Azure services. Power Automate is more suitable for end-users, business users, and SharePoint administrators who want to automate simple or high-level tasks that involve Office 365 or third-party services. The user interface is very similar but with Logic Apps also has better SLAs if the service was to ever go down. As it is designed for much larger, enterprise, business critical production solutions.

Power Automate and date pickers that have a read only text box and will not run with Java script.... Any ideas. Also tried Power Automate Desktop.

To what extent and to what level of access / user should we be marketing the use of PA for? - Is it recommended to restrict access to PA for most users, for example?

You should have a sharp vision and strategy for how Power Automate can support your business goals and processes, and communicate it to your users. You should also provide guidance and training on how to use Power Automate effectively and responsibly. You could control who can access Power Automate and what they can do with it. For example, you can restrict access to certain environments, connectors, or actions based on user roles, locations, devices, or risk levels. You should use Data Loss Prevention policies to prevent sensitive or confidential data from being shared or exposed through Power Automate. For example, you can block or limit the use of certain connectors that access external or untrusted services. Then monitor and audit the usage and performance of Power Automate in your organization. You can use the Power Platform Admin Center to view analytics, alerts, and logs for your environments, flows, and connectors3. You can also use Power BI to create custom reports and dashboards. After all of that you need to stay ontop of it with proper governance. Update your policies and practices regularly to keep up with the changes and updates in Power Automate and the Power Platform. You should also solicit feedback from your users and stakeholders to identify any issues or opportunities for improvement. By following these best practices, you can leverage the benefits of Power Automate while minimizing the risks and challenges. You can also foster a culture of innovation and collaboration among your users, who can use Power Automate to automate their tasks and workflows in a secure and compliant way. Can you trigger a Power Automate from a Power App?

Yes! there is a couple of ways you could do this. Either by data that is being submitted into a SharePoint list, Dataverse or another table. The second way would be to trigger it from a button within the Power App.

Hi, I've got a flow that is triggered yearly but keeps turning off automatically every 90 days as has not run. Is there a way to stop this?

Hey, there is a couple of options you have. Option 1: You can upgrade to a premium license for Power Automate, which will remove the 90-day expiration limit for your workflows. This option will require you to pay a monthly fee per user or per flow, depending on the plan you choose. Option 2: build a workflow that runs every 30 days and checks to see what year it is first before running the action. Keep a log of its runs somewhere to know when it last ran and if it needs to run again or go back to sleep for 30 days.

Hey - you could try making a flow to do a check daily/weekly/monthly etc to check the yearly flow and turn it on if it is off... (The 90 days is set by MS to deactivate any non-triggered flows within that timeframe.)
