My god... that's amazing, last time was so enthusiastic about a new Power BI toy since March when Mathias announced TMDL. This should save so much time for my fellow leads and our ops team... Going to test it for a few days and then share with the rest of the team. That's basically a Power BI REST API wrapper in VS Code. I wrote a few PS scripts using this API but it took a couple of days and it's not very straightforward what are all the available calls and parameters. This should also help in learning the API. I'm trying to follow all the main new stuff happening in the Power BI ecosystem and this almost flew under my radar. Definitely deserves more attention and kudos!

In the next release (coming soon!) we will also include a TMDL browser that allows you to view and change(!) an online model via TMDL

@@gbrueckl That’s great, more and more tools start providing support for TMDL. I’m hoping that Microsoft will soon release a preview feature to toggle the .pbip representation to TMDL. Waiting for that to proceed with CI/CD implementation in my org.

Great video ! Thanks . Quick question what if I have reports datasets and dataflows in 3 different workspaces. How pipelines will help deploy and point to correct sources ?

Is there a confirmation window when clicking on the X to delete a workspace or unassign from a capacity? That button is dangerously easy to miss click. Deleting workspaces, especially in production, is a very rare event and maybe there is no need for that extreme level of convenience for this kind of actions...

No confirmation, just tested. You just refresh the tree view and the object is no more. Way to dangerous to be used in production right now, thankfully I was testing on a dev artifact. Great potential, but I would suggest to put more thought into the safety and governance, with great power comes great responsibility :D. Definitely will be following the evolution of this tool.

Is it a way to see the tables and the script inside each Dataflow?

Unfortunately no, as there are no APIs that would expose detailed information about a dataflow we could techically provide you the JSON definition of the dataflow via the API, but i am afraid thats all we can (technically) doo
