Using a bar packer as an example, the TLM Comfort Feeder demonstrates the many advantages of the recently developed infeed directly from the pallet when packing into cartons. A very cost-effective machine concept with high performance in the smallest possible space is the key: The entire process - from the removal of the flat blanks to the erected packaging - is integrated extremely compactly into a single sub-machine and seamlessly connected to the subsequent packaging process.
The single-lane processing of each carton blank directly from the pallet achieves a cycle rate of 60 packages per minute and enables continuous operation for up to six hours. Even for the subsequent pallet change, the machine doesn’t have to be stopped thanks to the integrated buffer system. Format changes to other blanks can be carried out quickly and easily by a single person.
Carton infeed and erecting are suitable for all types of flat carton blanks and for different carton materials. The blanks, which are optimised for the packaging process, also reduce material consumption. At the same time, energy-efficient robots, 3D-printable format parts and a reduced number of glue nozzles ensure CO2-saving machine operation.
