The Power Craze Drifter+ from Costco needed some better drifter tires so I invented a HACK for that

I think this is Rc Hack of the month Jeremiah! Freakin awesome! So much better than electrical tape which is what we used to use. This is so much better! You should patent and sell for $4 some where. Good for all tiny Rc cars or you could make different sizes. This is brilliant!💯🌟💯🌟💯🌟👍🏻👍🏻👊🏼

Just found your channel and I may buy a costco drifter lol! I was never instrested in small scale rc or drifting but might be a funny toy to toot around the shop with!

Couldn't find any @ Costco, but I did find one @ a local Thrift store for $3.00 bucks. 😁 Too bad it had the wrong controller. 😮‍💨 Replacement controllers were going for around $10-15 on eBay. I opted for ordering a Safari Racer from Walmart for $17 bucks. Controller works. Kinda ugly, but cool lil 4wd truck, Way faster and stronger than the 2wd Safari Racer (Jeep)

Good thing you reset that cone 😂😂 Could you drill a hole just big enough for the screw threads to go through and use the head to keep the bottle caps on the wheels?

I just bought one of these and for some reason idk if I don’t know how to use it but I turn it on and I press forward or backward the wheels won’t move and it just makes a sound like it wants to go but it won’t

Interesting??? Well I would say of you have not used it that's very weird. Mine had hair caught up in the shafts and it kept it from running too. Maybe it was a bring back???

what are you doing braddha, this drifts amazingly on the black tires. I haven't even tried the gray set yet. I'm drifting in my 2000sf shop. the concrete was laid 50 years ago. thanks for the hack though. I build drift trikes. I can see putting the rim of the bottle cap on the rubber. Doing it your way completely ruins a set of wheels. I don't know if you can get replacement wheels and tires for this drifter yet. Would you give us a link if you find replacement tires and wheels...!!! Update I put the gray set of tires on the front only. Wow, what a setup. going to flip it next. gray in the back and black in the front. obviously, u are unable to drift with any of the tires that the truck came with. we all need to try different setups to coordinate with our different driving ( drifting style and ability ). I would suggest To you Mr. RC Newbie, scan the card that comes with the Driffter+ truck and follow the training videos. You will find your style of driving and be able to drift with the tires that come with it. I have been in the RC world since the age of 13. All the way back when the lunch box< frogger and the Amazing RC10...!!! was released. RC 10 is one of the best and most versatile RC cars in the world. The RC10 made the RC world what it is today. Back then we could just buy stuff off the shelf and make our cars better. We had to build our own stuff to make it faster or handle better. Thanks for the video and the hack. gave me some ideas. Out of the box, this is the best beginner drifter I have ever played with.

How are everybody’s stock tires holding up? I’ve used the black ones in two sessions so far and they are getting all torn up. I’m driving on decent asphalt.

I had luck fitting mini z / k989 wheels/tires on it. Most sets fit on amazon for the k989/ mini z will fit

Sadly i have not found them either, that's the kiss of death I'm afraid...but this may be counter intuitive considering the price, this wheelset comes with 1/28th scale wheels and nuts! So not too sure if it will work but...it's worth a try??? Affiliate amzn.to/4aDkBCI
