There are two characters that can use health as a resource to buff their damage. One of them has the lowest health in the game, the other has above average HP. Fortunately, the health drain is not a core mechanic for one of them. Wait, it's the character that has above average HP?

GBFVR is my favorite fighting game since CVS2. I’m so in love with it.

I feel like people don't have the same reaction to Sieg as they do to Nier and Seox due to him just having very good tools that don't otherwise seem to break the "rules" of the game, except maybe his fireball being really nuts. It's still a less obvious super strong tool compared to Nier 623H and Seox U wallcling.

I think some of Siegfried's stuff is silly with the ending lag. Even if you predict and dodge some of his moves he gets to punish you.

3:17 I’m so glad Jiyuna is mentioning this. Guard Cancel is going so under the radar. It’s my least favourite mechanic in the game with how risk free it is. Plus on block, hard knock downs, and really hard to bait. People are also using offensively just to keep the corner, it’s very non-interactive.

Guard cancel resetting to neutral and being -2 would be nice the hkd is the biggest criminal part about it

Just so you know, when you say he's using an easy input super, but it says "Good," that actually means he did the full motion. And you want to use full motion in neutral because of the damage bonus.

Funny how you release this vid after I started playing the free edition and 2 days ago they let me use Siegfried which was one of the characters that I wanted to buy the whole game to play. Now I get to try him in the free edition and I love using him... and then you release this vid hahah! Weird timing! From the list of characters it was gonna be between: Siegfried, Belzeebub, Eustace Vaseraga and Licilius. But Visually it has been Siegfried, and now playing him I am even more convinced he is my main!

Are you supposed DP through the firewall ? You cannot forward dodge or jump over it. I’ve just been walking backwards and blocking low but that means I’m getting closer to the corner. I could spot dodge but it’s usually really slow and I get stabbed in the foot. Man I just wish you can forward dodge every projectile. Dragon lasers and sheep included

Tekken 8 now with heat has all kinds of chip damage. Even if it's recoverable, some characters are straight up brutal with it.

I hate Sigfried. His firewall is annoying as sin. Close range feels like a guessing game like we’re pretty much just playing Rock Paper Scissors. And Sigfried is the character that wake up supers. Technically anyone can wake up super but Sigfried is the fuking poster boy for wake up super. Oh and because bullshit learning curve you technically can’t punish unblock unless you swing heavy. So to my knowledge I basically have to swing a heavy and then use a bravery point combo

What about the people who use the default color because they ARE the protagonist (beta food is the only one I can think of)

I like to use technical inputs for combos and easy inputs for reversals :D

Percival with full stocks is a kind of functioning character that is still weaker than Sieg at roundstart. Lol. Speaking of chip damage though, Percy 236U is fucking awesome. Too bad he sucks!

He is the strongest Dragon Knight, so it makes sense that he is OP. lol Siegfried rekka: L = Quick upward slash M = Counter stance with automatic follow-up on hit H = Spin slash U = Command grab Vane will probably be weaker than Siegfried. I turned off technical inputs. I'm all in on easy inputs.

Characters like Seig make me wonder why Vaseraga has to be tuned down so hard

you started talking but got sidetracked about siegfried's 5U, it was used like 3 time the entire set, it's completely ignorable. i think they need to lower his damage outside of buff state and buff his damage when he's in it to bring it back to current damage or something

So far I have enjoyed Granblue rising more than expected. Been so annoyed of MK 1 and SF6, deleted both and then Dld GBVR and I have had an overall good experience. If it wasn't for Avatar Belial, Nier, gimmicky Lowain, Yuel I would call it my new nr.1 fighting game. Depending on how it goes from here we will see. But those characters just makes me go... so we have these annoying characters here as well... great... zzz And still, so far it feels the most balanced in terms of overall mechanic after about 20 hours. So still early for me.

Siegfried probably won't get kneecaped most because he's strong but honest. He has clear tells for what he's going to do and as a Siegfried player I know that when things don't go as planned you can lose a round quickly

Sieg is the only character that is pretty much minus in everything, oh, an Vaseraga. Could you mention his favorite matchups? Cause i can tell a lot of matchups that are pretty much auto loss for him. Over 2000k matches of experience. For instance, Sieg can't even move vs Lucilius, Nier i don't even need to talk about. Vira? LOL You never press a button again after she begin to attack.

Chip damage is cool but you shouldnt be able to kill with it. Leave me at 1hp sure. But dying to projectile spam from across the screen as im blocking is cringe.

Power creep is a result of players learning a character and learning what to punish, let fly, and what the character can and cannot do for now.

I mean yea, it is real.... but you guys keep asking for characters to be "better", not "balanced", so....
