I was at a dealership a few days ago and this markup some have is crazy, 600.00 for window tint, 1,000 for paint protection, 500 for dealership etched glass, 300 for nitrogen filled tires….. let them sit there and rot…..lol

This is a good step but they need to do more. Sitting on a year plus of inventory is leaving dealers with a bunch of cars baking in the sun for the remainder of 2024 minimum

good info my dude! ive got a 2014 rt which ive long thought of upgrading, even to just a newer rt id be happy, but itd still have to be a car that sold for what they used to, within like the mid to high 30k range, and id consider it. im not paying well over 40k for a stripped down one. ill probably just chill with my old one here, which ive modded (headers, new hood, hellcat rims, etc)

When I bought a hellcat last year the insurance company I went through the agent had to go to an underwriter to ask if they'd accept my car being how things are... glad they did being the alternative company was quoting me $465 a month crazy.

$4,500 off on a Charger GT and nothing on a Charger Scat Pack? Two cars that look almost exactly the same, same transmission, same tires? I can understand why they didn't include Hellcats because there aren't that many left and people with Hellcats are going to lose a lot of them to theft, with many of them replacing the loss with another Hellcat. But Scat Packs? The only Charger trim level with more inventory than the Scat Pack is the SXT.

In my area, it's $4,500 off the GT and the dealers near me were already a couple thousand below MSRP. It might move some of them off the lots.

Dodge leveled up in profit tremendously the last couple of years. Let them hold on to those cars until they're begging people to come and take them off the lot at a fifty percent discount. If nobody buys them, the price will come down even more including scat packs and hell cats. If you don't need a car just wait them out.

Im glad i bought my 19 challenger hellcat redeye in 21 with 11k miles 1 owner all original garage kept doctor owned...who traded in for a durango hellcat because his wife was pregnant with twins😂my gain....they would have to do power dollars after they remove the high markups and then take off power dollars....stealerships are corrupt 😮

@@wendellrivers853 at the time when I bought the car, I knew absolutely nothing about chargers and challengers. I just saw it and purchased it because I needed a car ASAP. Now that I've watched several videos on these cars, I want to upgrade. I really like the scats and cats but that's outside my budget so I'll take the RT. I've always had V6s but for once I would like a V8. I'm not trying to race, drift, or do donuts so the RT is fine with me. I did ride in someone's scat and I loved the power but I'm good. Never get more than what you can bite off or you'll be in trouble. 😁😁

@@Ms_Introvert_4_Life man we are in the same exact boat lol , i knew nothing about them and was making a 1 hour drive to work 3x a week so getting a V6 challenger was perfect for me having to work so far away. Added Flowmaster and did a resonator delete to try and mimmick the V8 rumble but it just didn’t do it for me. If you can hold out until the summer man I would say do it, dodge is in big trouble and should have MAJOR discounts by then. I couldn’t wait any longer bro so i bit the bullet good luck to you brodi 🤝

Got my 19 Redeye for $68,700 with the real power dollars and incentives.. Lots of over talked up hype about these cars.. They aren't worth anything near $100k.. I really got pretty bored with it in about 4-5 months.. Its so big, drinks fuel.. doesn't feel all that crazy fast after you used to it.. To keep it 100, I enjoy my Camaro SS 1LE Manual that I got for track use much more...

Got mine for 64,500! I was out the door at 69K. Recently I traded my 19’ charger cat for a new charger 2023 jailbreak hellcat last January 95K haha. Prices have gotten stupid but the way dealers play you.. at the time you either needed to cough up the extra 10k or go home. Unless you had a connection or got very lucky you weren’t getting MSRP on a cat or Redeye.

I can afford up to maybe 150 K for something new or used. I could pony up and get an AWD BMW which is great when new. But what happens when the warranty runs out? Depreciation has totally gutted the value and repair costs are insane with the parts marked up through the roof by BMW. Same issue with the Benz. I can afford to buy the cars but I cannot afford to maintain them - especially since they are so trouble prone. Pushes me back to a Z06 or GT500 as I already have a RE, Scat Pack, and Zl1. All have had minimal issues over multiple years.

@jgmullins1 Your references the very old BMWs...the news ones are rated 3rd in reliability. Ford and Dodge are not even close...you can purchase an extended warranty to put your mind at ease. Please test drive the M8 convertible...drop the top and report back. The looks, luxury, drive and power delivery are insane. From one mopar guy to another, trust me.
