So, you are being Power harassed by a Japanese Boss and Employer? Believe it or not, it is a common thing in Japanese workplace. Japanese people can be very good friends but not so good to be co-workers. It is a fact especially if you are a Filipina. When this happens to you, you might be anxious as you love your job and need the earnings so bad for your family. My advice is to leave the job or if you have time to stand up for your rights, go to the Labor Office in your place. If you are power harassed by Japanese, please do always remember that he or she harassed you because that particular person or persons may be in secured or has that insecurity complex towards you. Japanese people are polite, honest and kind by nature. But it is sad to say that for SOME, not ALL, they look down on people from South East Asia. So if you are power harassed by Japanese in your work place, stay strong. Weak people bully others they think stronger and competent that them. God Bless.

I am working in Japan and dealing with power harassment at work now. Found your video when I am searching advices for my problem . I don't know anyone in same with problem . I totally feel you. I also feel not lone in this situation now. Thanks for sharing. Hope you get better soon. Let's be strong together

I am so sorry to hear that you are on this situation at work. I would say that most often, perpetrators or the bullies are supported by most because he or she is Japanese like most of your colleagues. It is somewhat their NATURE. I did well and a hard worker myself. I know I will find a better job so I quit. Now I am happier.

I’m sorry about the experience you went through and I hope you have recovered fully from that. It’s the worst feeling to be constantly scared to go somewhere and humiliated with words by someone who is on a power trip. It’s unfortunate how some people think they are better than others, when really we are all just humans. Wish we had more kindness in this world .

I do not want to generalize but that is how most Japanese people think of themselves, superior than anyone else. That is why there is no such thing as Japan Dream when there is so called American Dream - I know Filipinos excelled in the US which could be almost impossible to achieve in Japan.

Japan never apologized for it's astonishing crimes in Philippines, China, Viet Nam, Korea.

Helllo.. It is not my intention to bring negativity about Japanese people as a whole. But this kind of harassment and unfair treatment of some Japanese employers and superiors happens often and to me not only in Japan and the worst case happened in my own country, in the Philippines. It was a traumatic experience and cost me time and money.

I have experience Din po ma’am wen I was working in mall , factory . Really toxic Japanese and insecurity talaga laging naka abang sa mali ng Iba . They feels like perfect sila and u are wrong specially pagkasama u sila sa trabaho . At hanggang ngayon ganun pa rin so ako po ginagawa ko lumalaban n Ako sigawan kasi mamanipulate ka nila because u are foreigners . Feeling perfect nga po sila . I know naman not all Japanese doing that but almost specially Old Japanese. That’s why this time if they treated me good I treated them good too but if it’s not I show them who am I . Nobody’s help u here po kasi Kaya u need to protect yourself. Hindi na po mawawala kahit neighbor u pa po dahil pag nalaman nila foreign ka talagang Iba yung treat nila so keep fighting if u are right .

I believe I should make more videos how I experienced bullying or power harassment sa work. But you know what? Before we even prove how hardworking we are, may mga impression na sila sa mga Pinoy na magagaling magtrabaho so they try to put pressure on us even more. Inggit or self preservation ang reason why they are like that. I am not sure if we could really FIT IN. But since we need money to support our needs we keep going. Take care, Maki.

@@livingwithgraceinjapan Opo Kaya keep fighting Lang ma’am dahil Alam naman ng mga foreigners even ibang lahi they know that Japanese old people are racist here kahit sa kapwa nila . Kaya if I am right Di talaga me papatalo . Thank u ma’am keep up a good work po .
