There Is Power In The Blood performed by the Smoky Mountain Jubilee Choir. A song which emphasizes the fact that we are redeemed by the blood of Christ is “There Is Power In The Blood” (#276 in Hymns for Worship Revised, #198 in Sacred Selections for the Church). The text was written and the tune (Power In The Blood) was composed both by Lewis Edgar Jones, who was born at Yates City, IL, on Feb. 8, 1865. Graduating from Moody Bible Institute in the same class with well-known revival evangelist Billy Sunday, Jones became active in YMCA work which he did for the rest of his life, serving first as physical director in the YMCA at Davenport, IA, and then as general secretary in Ft. Mine wasn't quite that long ago, maybe a month. Very real, like not a dream but an attack to maybe possess bodies. I could actually feel something grabbing my ankle. i kicked and stood up and demanded that he depart in the name of Jesus Christ. That it had no authority over me. Jesus was my Lord, and it could not touch me in Jesus' NAME. GET OUT! and I pointed to the door while crying out to Jesus. I just kept screaming Jesus' name at it until it turned and went straight through the closed window. Little black hooded demon. I wondered about that vision and the scripture about demons returning to houses swept clean of evil people's efforts w/o Jesus in their lives. When the demon can find no body (resting place) to inhabit, they gather 7 more powerful demons than themselves and return to the body they used to inhabit to make that person even more wicked than they were before. What happens when that person is dead? When my mom got Alzheimers she saw these little black entities in this house roaming free. She, like all Alzheimer's patients, was terrified of night and sleeping. The experts call it Sundowner syndrome. They all have some type of horrible nightmarish delusions. I know we had a lot of demonic episodes in this house when my father was drunk. Which was 24/7 for 15 years of my life, but even before I was born, as he was a severe and violent alcoholic. So, I was talking to the Lord about this off and on throughout that following week. I mentioned it to my daughter one day over the phone as she used to help me care for my mom and knew about those black floating entities she saw. She was silent for a minute and then told me she had the identical "dream" in her house, several days before I did, only it was 2 demons, and she did the same as me, just kept crying out Jesus' name until they left her home through the closed door. I asked the other members of my family if any had experienced anything similar. None responded. You are the first other person I have heard stating such an event. I have had Spiritual visions like this before after going to sleep, so I know it was no ordinary night time dream state. It was nightmarish to say the least. I think the world is experiencing an overflow of demonic activity right now and we should be spiritually armed for warfare and attacks like we have never been before. Because once these demonic spirits find a willing body, we will only see the person change, not the dark spirit housed by them any longer. 😠

One of the songs i still remember from my youth. Beautiful. You just dont hear this stuff anymore, its all showy performance art, rather than great songs an entire church can really sing together. There used to be a real sense of involvement and unity with songs like this and hymns. "Worship music" these days is nothing that it once was for old-timers like me.
