Power Query - Reverse Fill Downs

Reverse fill downs is not a great use case as you can easily just do it in a pivot table. But the point of this tutorial is get a better understanding of inner and outer variables and how you can join to a previous row in the same table.

brilliant way to get previous row so far .by the way before I use mixed of group by and index to get previous row but I think your way is better performance . thanks

This was very helpful! I had a list of online sales that listed the order number, item number, item amount, tax amount, and shipping amount. For orders with multiple items, it was listing the the total shipping for the order with each line item causing duplicate shipping amounts. I had created a work around to treat the shipping cost as a separate line item, but end user wanted the shipping amount in a separate column. This method help me accomplish that.

Great and many thanks!!...for one, I find it extremely useful as I wanted to assign the unique values a number in power query so that I can later average in the pivot table. Problem is that making the averages directly at the Pivot table (using unique values ) the results get distorted at the grand total stage due to the fact that the "product" column has differing occurrences and all get taken into account in the totals.
