I'm completely fine with basically everything about the game, except that it has 9 characters, and three of those are exclusively from the comics. Out of Power Rangers' 25+ year history, there could've been more choices, if not at least a couple more characters. Still, $20 is fine. I'll definitely pick it up.

Ive been enjoying this game, just needs more characters (which are coming) have been playing online the last couple days with no lag or dip off WiFi. But might be just me.

I'm so glad that IGN has someone that grew up with this genre on board, that can give quality and very fair reviews. You're completely right that this is pretty much a poverty-fighting game that's priced at what it's giving you. The game play looks solid and that's usually all that matters but we'll have to see how the community responds. Thank you so much Mr. Saltzman.

SUPER fair review and score! I agree, the game is very much lacking when it comes to single player content, however there is a charm to the game I'm feeling and it fits the budget price it's in.

Who here wants the Phyco Rangers as DLC or Ivan Ooze or a ultimate of Dark Specter.

I bought it and played it on the Switch...its alright for 20 dollars...must buy for nostalgic fans of Power Rangers, the green and red ranger makes this happen...

No voice acting?!?! They seriously couldn't ring up any of the actors to say some lines?!?!?!

By season 2, it has become a better game, if still imperfect. 18 characters on a very diverse roster, an okay story mode, and very improved graphics.

I just really hope there would more project like this I do believe this game can have potential in the future

I seriously recommend this game, especially for 20 bucks. Nostalgia alone compels most to buy it, but the combat and the fact that ITS ONLINE HAS BETTER CONNECTION THAN THAT OF SOMETHING LIKE SMASH ULTIMATE, makes it well worth the price. I honestly want this game to succeed because it has so much potential.

I actually agree with this review. This game pays hommage to mvc in terms of assists and combos but definitely needs time to be completed and supported by the versus fgc.

This should've been Power Rangers' version of Injustice with a tag mechanic.

I really like this game. It is fun, looks great with the mixture of 3D and 2D graphics, and has a nice learning curve and combo list. I know people will try to hate on it because people generally like to rag on the Power Rangers but I respect the franchise. I grew up with Mighty Morphin' and really liked it and the game brings back memories. Plus, the many costumes are cool too. Also, it would be dope if an adventure game would come out based on Mighty Morphin'. And no, it doesn't have to be open-world because I know everyone expects that now but it's okay to be linear and it could have levels where you fight in the Zord's and come together to form the Mega Zord for boss battles. I wonder how they could approach that.

Let's cut to the chase, WE NEED THAT NEW POWER RANGERS GAME! I'm a big fan of Power Rangers. I watched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers until Power Rangers Mystic Force then I stop due to going through the growing up phase. But still, my love for Power Rangers never stop. I still keep on an update about the news & latest Power Rangers. We need an open-world game for Power Rangers. Gameplay and perfect storyline just like Insomniac Spiderman. Chooseable characters while fighting and collections of powers to use just like Jump Force. Downloadable DLCs and characters. And so many more! If you guys remember Power Rangers: Light Speed Rescue game for PlayStation 1 (that's if you guys play the game), that game was perfect, it's actually kinda like an open-world game, but limited. The fans have been waiting for the Power Rangers game for Playstation 4, and with present technology, it wouldn't be a problem IT'S MORPHIN TIME!

Needs more bad guys like Rita, Lord Zedd and some of the monsters from MMPR like the eye popping eye guy monster, the knasty knight, finster, baboo, bones, putty patrol, Squatt, King Sphinx, Guitardo, Pirantis, Socadillo, Minotaur, Stag Beetle, Robogoat, Grumble Bee, Spidertron, Dramole, Pudgy Pig, Killer bite slippery shark, vampirus See? 22 extra characters / bad guys for the rangers to fight is what this game needs. Hell release them all as £40 DLC pack and I’d buy them but right now apart from the Red Ranger and Green Ranger and Goldar I wouldn’t play with anyone else and this game is missing just too many characters for me sorry I won’t buy until then Also forgive if I didn’t see it but the White Ranger and Black Ranger from the original series is a must

Enough with the 2.5D fighting games already. If I wanted that, I would've played street fighters. Please do something sensible and create a AAA game with motion capture, cinematics, background score, a proper storyline, fighting mechanics, co-op mode and the ability to play as different rangers.

I think it deserves a second shot. I played it for a few minutes and fell in love. It could be a history making game but only needs a few tweaking to be a masterpiece!

I was turned off when I heard 9 characters but then sold again when I heard it's only $20.

And the game has vastly improved significantly adding in more characters with each season of DLC, voice acting for the characters including in some cases the actual PR actors voicing their characters and doing the mo-cap of said characters such as for example the actors who played Eric in Power Rangers: Time Force, and RJ in Power Rangers: Jungle Fury reprising their iconic roles while also doing the mo-cap as they're in real-life expert martial artists who work as stuntmen, and mo-cap actors who also voiced Vergil in the Devil May Cry series with the actor who played Eric doing the VA and mo-cap of the fan-favorite incarnation of the character from DMC3, 4, and 5 and UMVC3, and the actor who played RJ doing the VA and mo-cap of the incarnation from the AU-set title/"reboot" DMC: Devil May Cry and it's epilogue DLC DMC Devil May Cry: Vergil's Downfall. A Story Mode that is a great storyline that is a adaption of the fan-favorite dark multiverse spanning story-arc from the comics Power Rangers: Shattered Grid while still being it's own thing. Having the final DLC be awesome due to it being guest characters in the form of Ryu and Chun-Li in their Crimson Hawk Ranger and Blue Phoenix Ranger forms from the SF crossover event Power Rangers: Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown complete with Ryu and Chun-Li getting alternate outfits in the form of Helmetless Ryu, and Angel Grove High Class of 93 outfits for both Ryu and Chun-Li. And then a couple of months later the whole game including all 4 seasons of DLC characters, Crimson Hawk Ranger Ryu, Blue Phoenix Ranger Chun-Li, the Story Mode, and the much-needed voice-acting for the characters in a physical rerelease of the game titled Power Rangers: Battle of the Grid: Super Edition.

As a big Power Ranger fan I'm disappointed to see that there are only 9 characters even with the game being $20 I expected to have a lot more characters to choose from especially given that this franchise has produced plenty of memorable characters over the last 25 years.

Everyone if you are a true Power Ranger fan and love fighting games, support this, hell its not the perfect game but it has potential. Plus you can't beat 20 bucks.

This needs more characters and stages. Also, I would want the Zords of each Ranger to be one of the special/hyper/power movables whether these do a stomp, bite or any other offenses on their opponents.

I would expect to see more Rangers, it might under 100 rangers or over 100. Also I want to see more Evil Rangers. I wonder if Marvel does a (Spider-People) Spider-Man Spider-Verse game & Venom-Verse there's a lot of characters.

For a $20 fighting game I expected it to be bare bones and I'm a OG Power Rangers fan and even my kids love the Power Rangers too what I didn't expect and it's making me teeter between it being a deal breaker or wait for sale is the fact that a 25 yr anniversary Power Ranger fighter has only 9 characters and no story mode c'mon it's not like there is no source material to pull it from it's been around for 25 yrs! I think I'll wait for a flash sale if I even buy it at all💯
