Yeah, it's not really designed to be an execution heavy game. The window for linking combos is also really lenient (as should be obvious here)

If you want to find matches you should join a Discord kind of what you have to do for the older fighting games

if you don't get hit you won't get combod, you have 3 characters, you could also do the same to your opponent, 3v3 games tend to be like this.

Tod are very common in team fighting games in team games you die in One hit thats just the genre

Thats pretty much how marvel vs capcom 3 played it really is a part of the genre as matches would last too long and people would try lame shit waaaaay more often if damage was too low. I remember marvel 2 having many lame times where people would run away all game because combo damage wasnt high
