What did you think of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury?

Javi losing his arm was done perfectly in this season. I was scared they would screw it up because losing an arm is something that is very complex and not something power rangers does often…but man they hit everything. Izzy reaction and how scared she was when javi hit the ground, javi plugging the staff in the console without a thought and while scared he keeps it up because he knows he can’t stop now. And they actually dive into the psychological components of it. Not only do they establish that he goes into shock that would happen, but he also gets angry when Solon asks if he wants an upgrade. Because he really doesn’t want a robot arm, he wants his old one back. He doesn’t need to hear how it’s all going to be better, because he knows it’s not. Billy handled it the best too. He doesn’t try to give him fake promises, he knows it’s gonna be hard. When javi needs help with his guitar, billy doesn’t try to do it himself and make javi feel useless, he tells javi he needs his help to make sure it’s in tune which gets javi to smile.

Zedd is stuck there. They stated that any evil entity that goes to rescue him will get stuck on the planet.

I do like how they handled Amelia becoming the new Red Ranger. It was really sweet especially considering how her character arc in season 2 evolved.

I actually liked SquidInk betraying Zed, It was payoff of what Zed told Ollie; As a villain you can't depend on others, He spent the whole season depending on them, and paid the price

It's hard to believe that there won't be anymore adaptions from Super Sentai Series since the writers and producers have decided to move away from them and make plans to do a reboot version which I really don't know how it's going to work out. But I still wished they continued to more Super Sentai Series into the next Power Rangers Series like Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger, Mashin Sentai Kiramager and Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger because I always wanted to see the version adapted into the next Power Rangers series storyline.

I'm 3 episodes in, don't care too much about spoilers. But at present I think it's okay. Love the fact that Mick and Billy are there as characters, Billy being my all time favorite Ranger.

To me, Cosmic Fury was like someone took parts of each of the eras in which Power Rangers could’ve ended, stitched them together into a Frankenstein’s monster of a dead horse, then put one handful of candy into it, and let us use it as a piñata. I’ve described Cosmic Fury elsewhere as a convoluted dumpster fire, but I think the morbid piñata more accurately describes how I feel about Cosmic Fury.

I feel the issue of the zords is that they don't do anything special. Like the cosmic dragon zord has it's debut episode and then is just an interchangable megazord. Also rip the gold zord. The one time he got to be on a megazord is when the megazords stop working.

As for Zayto keeping his red ranger status, I think it would have been better if they kept the ghost ranger colors for him while Amelia becomes the red ranger when they switch to the Cosmic Fury powers. It's going to be like the Quantum Ranger situation, where he is a red ranger but has some black accents to differentiate him from Time Force Red. Amelia is the main red, but Zayto is also red with white accents. Also, Zayto being a red ranger but also kinda a white ranger would be a nice nod to Shishi Red Orion. And having two red rangers in general would also be a nod to Shishi Red and Houou Soldier.

I still think they should've just used the Kyuranger suits.

Bringing back Lord Zedd as the final villain for this era of Power Rangers, cool idea; a blast from the past. The suits, a little more naked then I’d like. Maybe a little more detail to them and they’d be better. The villains, I wish we got more then just the Squidrills and more of the monsters growing giant like Inkworth. (Also I think it’s funny that as a way of saying “Hey, sorry for not adapting Lupinranger/Patoranger and Zyuohger” they just take a few monster suits from those series and just throws them into the show at random) The characters, I like how we did get more development with most of them (Izzy having the least). Javi is now my favorite character in Dino Fury/Cosmic Fury, I liked his development with his robot arm. Zayto unfortunately not having enough new development other then he’s going to “die” again eventually. Fern was a fun character to watch as they built up to her becoming a ranger. The rest are whatever. Overall, a fun end to this era of Power Rangers and while I’m more of a Sentai and Rider fan, I’m still curious to see where they go with the franchise now. Also shoutout to Tarrick for taking out a monster in human form. Badass mf

I loved the new morphing stance with the orbs spinning on their fingers and being flung into the morphers

I think Izzy and Amelia didn't get so much personal focus in Cosmic Fury precisely because they both got so much in Dino Fury, and with such a limited episode count it made more sense to give that screen-time to characters who didn't get too much development in Dino Fury such as Javi and Aiyon. That's not to say Amelia and Izzy don't do anything in Cosmic Fury, they do. But it's not about them personally - the focus instead seems to now be on how they affect the people around them, like most notably Aiyon with Amelia, and Fern with Izzy. Which I think was a good way to go about it with the limited episide count. As for Ollie's evil incarnation, I think he should be called the Evil Fury Ranger - seems as it sounds cool and "Fury" is this team's thing. And he was definitely both evil and furious! We'll just pretend Jungle Fury didn't happen lol. This team's associated Ranger powers could all be more neatly connected by name then :p.

According to the logic of the show itself I don't think zedd could've been defeated in that form so they had to find a way to trap him similar to an eternal ice prison/ seal or trapped in a magical lamp thing, which we all know is the usual route fantasy writing takes

I thoroughly enjoyed this season, much more than I thought I would. The ending was a little underwhelming imo, but it was kinda wholesome and I didn’t hate it. Overall, pretty solid! Also I totally dig Ollie’s dark suit, it’s sooooo cool!!!

I finished it last night. It was below average. It’s truly a waste of a ranger season. 😒

I think this season worked out really well. The more serialized nature allowed for the plot and character arcs to develop at a pretty good pace. I liked how much more consequential their problems were, and how they couldn't just recover from them by the next episode. They took their time to show how different things were affecting them. I was apprehensive about Amelia switching to red, but they handled it so well. She stepped up into the role of leader so naturally that when she became red, it felt like a no-brainer. And on top of that, we also got treated to a bit of lore on the Morphin Grid in the process. Ollie made for a pretty good sub-antagonist, actually leveraging his knowledge of his team to out-think them. I just wish he had been more dangerous in combat, like Tommy, Ryan or Trent before him. He never actually felt like a real threat to the other rangers. But I did like the strain that it put on Amelia and the rest of the team, and how they handled it. I really liked the Zayto arc. At the end of Dino Fury I wasn't a fan of his resurrection, and I felt like the Morphin Masters were being used as a deus ex machina, so it was nice to see his sacrifice at the end of Dino Fury have lasting consequences. As for the new suits: they grew on me over the season, but I don't think they were cosmic enough. Their helmets were dino themed, their morphers were dino themed, their morphing sequence showed their dinosaurs, and their weapons and all their moves were named for their dinosaurs. They give Super Dino Fury vibes more than Cosmic Fury vibes.

I found Cosmic Fury underwhelming. It was a decent season, similar to the last few seasons. I feel like they could've done some things different, considering they're planning on making it the final series. It's just not as Bombastic as I would expect, and kinda ended without a big enough bang.

me personally i enjoyed but my only issue tbh is pacing. with such a short season i understand it's harder to condense so much into just 10 episodes but i was hoping they would at least lengthen the episodes a bit more (not by much ofc probably just by 10-15 minutes) because a lot of things felt like it happened way too quickly. I do like that there was a sense of urgency which ig made up for pacing, plus urgency isn't seen often since rpm

Here's my theory on cosmic fury, hopefully you see this so I can see your opinion on this. They're not the actual cosmic fury team, they're still Dino fury. As you said they're replacement powers made by Billy. So hypothetically the real cosmic fury powers should be still out there. Which is why an ranger could pilot because it's not really theres. It's kinda the same situation in operation overdrive where the red spd, mystic force green etc could use their zords. Also I think they brought back Zayto to help them capture Zedd, that's why. I loved that Zayto is gets to be 6th ranger this season, he felt like the Titanium ranger in light speed. The reason I think Zayto wasn't in the team much was because Zayto wasn't gonna stay in the Dino fury team for long because he was dying. I didn't see him being the champagne ranger as a downgrade because he basically becomes a GAWD, and I love his suit the most.

its a good show and every episode made my jaw dropped, this maybe because i had a low expectation of the show itself but hey, at the end, the show was good and cant wait for upcoming power ranger seasons ❤

The Zayto & Amelia ranger thing is similar to Tommy & Jason. Zayto being weaken is a mixture of Tommy with his green ranger power and Ryan serpent curse.

Call me a bigot if you want, but I think RyuVoyager had a better sound effect on it than the Cosmic Dragon Zord.

Great season without being edgy. First season since MMPR to have a cast for 3 seasons. I think the cast earned their roles

This was a really cool way to kinda sorta penultimately and the current era of Power Rangers, since they did leave things open for future additions to this current era. I’m still waiting on the official name of that gold cosmic fury zord.

I just think this season is to short at 10 episodes. I know they wanted to avoid filler (however it's defined) but I feel like while trimming the fat they trimmed some of the meat. And the costumes. They felt like they were made to be toys first and outfits second. I did like the fight sequences of the original footage.

Hi black person here. I don't have a problem with Amelia being red and Zayto being champagne. He had his character Arc. He sacrificed his life for the team and for the world. And for that sacrifice he was rewarded an extension of his time on Earth. He didn't need to be red anymore because he finished the problem that he helped to start. There is no conspiracy to remove black men from leadership in PR. In fact there may be a conspiracy to provide black Leaders with better writing. Because all of the black red rangers continue to evolve all the way up to the finale. T.j. decided for the betterment of his team to let Andros lead and help where he can. That really showed TJ's heart. Jack found a different calling to serve his community. ( alongside a beautiful white woman no judgment) There are other worse examples in the franchise. Will, regardless of the legality of his actions, his skillset is just being a thief. A high-level professional Thief. And you have Will's actor who might be a thief but is definitely a liar. Let Twitter talk about this it's not serious enough that it needs to be addressed.

I like that we finally got an orange ranger after 30 years

Amelia wasn’t the first Red if you count SPD A-Squad Ranger team

When it was announced myself as well as a lot of others I saw online were weary because "What does dinos have to do with space?". But that being said I liked the explanation of the new powers, that they are not a new source to the grid but a new access to the old powers. The suits could have been a little better but as the show went on I found myself carrying less. This show was one of the first real times I got all of my boys to sit and watch PR and got to enjoy that seeing the old and the new clash with MMPR (My team) to these new teams. I know with 10 episodes the pacing was a little wonky at times but did enjoy it. And looking forward to seeing what comes next to the future of power rangers...I know we are entering reboot time but feels like it cut off where we can continue to explore this universe more.

It’s been a few years since I actually watched a Power Rangers show (The last I watched was Dino Charge) but I kept seeing this new show on twitter so I decided to watch it. I think I should’ve watched Dino Fury first because I didn’t know much about all the main characters. But overall I quite liked it. It has fun moments, and cool fights, although most of the Megazord fights are short and all end in a similar fashion. It was nice to see Billy and Lord Zedd, because I remember them from my childhood. It was also nice to have a very diverse cast. I don’t have much to say beyond that though. 1:39 Yes, the theme was amazing.

show actually made me love mick a lot more than i did in ninja steel. he made it to one of my top favourite leaders/helpers and also, i hope they dont reboot the franchise because theres no point going into a reboot 30 years into the franchise. plus, there are a lot of ranger teams where villains are still roaming or unfinished storylines.

After an Episode where Evil Ollie adds a tracking Bug to the Dragon Zord , Unless I did miss the Lines about it afterwards at a time somehow , after only one episode the tracker is never mentioned again or unattached? Plus How Did Ollie Snap Out of his Trance of Evil whatever to call it? Again I might have missed a line of diaolgue about it But it seemed like alla sudden Ollie Jumped to camera to warn the Rangers ahead with No Hint of Him doing so before it. It Felt , To Me , unless again I missed a Detail , It Felt Very Random.

It was good, but I feel like Zedd should've gotten more actual fight time in his morphin' master form. It just felt like this whole new revamped design was made for like 10 minutes of screentime.

i definitely don't mind Amelia being cosmic fury red i like the modified ryusoulger helmets yet the zords of cosmic fury is quite fine thankfully it's the first time seeing a orange ranger since s.p.d orange is a dream sequence overall it's average because it has the same amount of episodes as mighty morphin season 3.5

Personally i would have live the zenith ranger be a white ranger with red lining. And instead of rita, zedd nightmare is constantly fighting various rangers never stooping, never ending.

I'm bummed we never got to see the actual Zed and Rita one last time. I get that Rita might be busy due to being the Mystic Mother, but what has the purified Zed been doing all this time?

OK, so, I was left underwhelmed by cosmic fury, my main big problem is it felt too short. Like I have no real problems with the rangers, and it made me like characters I didnt care for in dino fury, like javi and amelia, and I love fern became a ranger. I personally didn't enjoy the villains that much (ollie as villain was fine, it's everyone else). Admittedly I had big hopes for them adapting kyuranger and I felt let down by what I saw. It's personally not something I will go back to watch which is a shame since I could see some brilliant ideas in there. Also it hurts my inner Scorpio fan that he got basically got one fight, said the cringiest joke, and died. (I know he's called crimso or something, the villains names, im sorry are a little dumb)

I think you should given a try to re-written Cosmic Fury and added something usual with Sentai/Rangers potential 😙 (Like usual you do with Rider potential/Sentai Potential )

Power rangers cosmic fury is my favorite season alongside Dino charge and the ending almost made me cry but I do wish it was a little longer to handle things like Zaytoes passing, Ollie’s redemption, Javier’s amputee and Izzy’s and Ferns relationship. It hurt to watch the finally because givin the fact it’s the last pr show or movie in a long time and the last one in the main timeline it felt like I was saying goodbye for good and that their is still stories to be told with the cosmic fury team and other future teams. I know the comics are still going strong but still.

Would you count operation seasoning is a crossover episode I am kinda mixed because on one side it says it’s Dino team up part 2 and the other side says no it’s just a special episode and it’s the 30th anniversary season

I have mixed feelings about Cosmic Fury, for one side, I loved the action with pratical effects, on the other, that CGI zord bullshit on the last episode was nasty. And for almost every good thing on the season, there's a nitpick. But God, they were cheap as fuck with the Cosmic Fury suits, especially Zayto's.

I would have rather have them not utilized anything from Kyuranger. The story was underwhelming for me, and the suits weren't bad or good for me. Truth be told, i would have rather this series would have been better if they'd just extend Dino Fury by another 10 to 15 episodes.

its hinderances were it kept stopping short of going there. it only showed Javy struggling with his lose in only one episode. it refused to left Amelia to truly grow into the leadership role. it had Fern gain her power more like Gosei handing out zords then her proving herself like Kendall. it needed more run time not necessarily more episodes. you never get to really feel the fight to free earth from Zedd's control as we hardly even see how Zedd controls it. the ending is as anticlimatic as the Legendary Battle.

Think people liking Ollie being evil is funny because…it was basically a work around. Ollie actor was busy during filming and couldn’t be on set as much, so they did the workaround by separating and having him appeared morphed

Dino Fury/Cosmic Fury is definitely a top 5 favorite in my book. It wasn't completely perfect, but I didn't expect it to be. Simon Bennett and the crew really out did themselves.

The final villain of PR ended up being capitalism That's saying something

I think Squid Ink Inc was actually a pretty clever writing choice. Zedd may have been raised from the dead/past/etc. (monster-of-the-week necromancy be confusing), but that doesn't mean his forces get raised with him. So how does a major villain obtain a new army to work with? Cue war-profiteering evil space capitalists loaning him their own forces because Zedd on a rampage means more money for them.

Why not using suits from kyuranger?

Dark Ranger's absence from Dino Charge was basically the biggest reason I started watching Super Sentai in the first place, so him showing up is a big selling point for me, but I have a couple of reasons for hesitating to watch this. First, yes Fern and Izzy are my least favorite rangers, don't ask why if you don't want to know. Second, the head producer of Cosmic Fury, Simon Bennet, went on record to say he's not a fan of either Power Rangers or Super Sentai. It's NEVER a good sign when one of the showrunners of a long-running series openly dislikes the show he's working on.

I have to say I enjoyed PR Cosmic Fury much more than I expected. Maybe because I haven't seen PR in years so I had no expectations going in.

Besides the helmet, the foam on the dark ranger suit remind viewers of American green ranger shield footage when it bends.

zayto should have become white, like kyuranger had lucky get a power up that has white as a primary color, its a nice refrence if it was or the power up(orion) became his new suit to tie in the new zords.

After seeing Cosmic Fury, all that I could say is massive congratulations all around. Never have I been disappointed in a Ranger season as much as Cosmic Fury did, but I would like to thank this season to be the first to do so for me. Thank you for giving us the worst send off to 30 years of storytelling.

Rpm did have a lot of original footage and lost galaxy. Dosmrider and more grew up with ranger in the old gen will be more defensive towards anything original or innovative.

The suits for the season I didn’t like it at first but they did grow on me and I do really like them, they’re nowhere near my favorite suits but I like them, but I think they would look better if they added some sort of lightning bolt on side without the weird grey armor thing

No body can spin a marble on there finger... which makes the morpher bad... people want something they can do themselves..and the megazord was so bulky and huge like how does it move and what is the back connection... loved the story line...

I know its been done before in other Series s But I Found it Distracting and Out bof Place to See Fern Standing Up Loosely Around one of the Zords Cockpits , Let alone I don't Think in These Mechas There are No Visable Seatbelts ? Point Being It Would seemingly feel real Dangerous to have people , Rangers not Seatbelted and Seated at Most times In those Machines. Just My Opinion plus Kinda Bugs me.

Imo they should’ve just left Kyuranger alone and used an old megazord or even make a whole new one that uses elements of the Dino Fury megazord

In terms of the rangers still being dino while the zords are different themed. My argument I would throw out is that this isnt new. Mmpr did this twice without matching their megazords with the thunderzords and the ninjazords. I've was fine when they did it so it didn't really bother me that cosmic fury doing it now.

The morpher I didn't like the blaster I didn't like and they should have broken the capsule...

I loved the season. It was an excellent story. My only complaints are minor nit picks like wanting more of the dark ranger, or like instead of saying other ranger teams are being captured show it by using like the dino thunder suits from Grid Connection.
