Little context for anyone who doesn't know: Power Rangers was completely owned by Saban until Ninja Storm, which started the Disney Era of Power Rangers. That lasted until RPM. Samurai was the start of the Neo-Saban Era, where Saban bought it back and started showing it on Nickelodeon. That ended with Ninja Steel. The Hasbro Era started recently with Beast Morphers and is ongoing.

you have the timeline mostly correct, but the OG Saban Era ended with Time Force, and Wild Force is the first Disney season, since while the idea came from Saban, disney did most of the work on it.

@@slydog5132Disney got ahold of the franchise in 2001 during the production of Wild Force. Everything was done by the Saban team except that Disney were the ones who released it. Disney didn’t do anything for Wild Force except release it and they originally wanted to just do re-runs and end the franchise until they learned they could save money and do filming in New Zealand for cheaper.

Jungle Fury is my favorite, along with the red Ranger in the same season. Casey showed more courage than a lot of other red Rangers. He even single handedly redeemed the main villain even though literally everyone was against his resolve to do so. Including his masters. Casey is very underrated, but very capable.

Jungle fury is such an underrated series that was surrounded by the garbage of the Nickeloden era. Both mystic force and definitely operation overdrive were losing me as a fan to the point I didnt even finish overdrive and still havent. I agreed to watch one more series before I officially gave up power rangers and boy did they give me a good one. Jungle Fury was the last series I watched chronologically since starting with the second half of Turbo as a kid. A few years ago a friend put me on to RPM and I regret not staying one more season in fear that Jungle Fury was just a random stroke of luck for Nick but turns out they had 2 hits in their PR run

What I thought was great about Lightspeed Rescue was the Rangers were selected based on their skills in their professions. Chad, a marine mammal trainer, Carter, a firefighter, Dana, a paramedic, Joel, an actor who performs his own stunts and Kelsey, a rock climber.

I can get behind a Firefighter, First Responder, and Blue Angel Reject being Power Rangers...that makes sense, I don't understand why a future Everest climber and future Ironman contestant would be chosen...unless that's why you want them, that's generally not a personality trait for a Superhero or Power Ranger ....confused on the Sea World guy.....

Gotta say Carter Grayson the red in Lightspeed Rescue is THE GOAT RED. The FIRST fight in the season he tries to RUN DOWN THE BOSS BATTLE UNMORPHED IN A JEEP. One time he shoots TWO BFGs IN THE DUDES CHEST AFTER THE DUDE SAID IT WOULD KILL HIM TOO IN THE EXPLOSION. DID IT ANYWAY. HE FOUGHT THE BIG BAD OF THE SEASON UNMORPHED AND WON. Carter Grayson is top Ranger & could beat any of them any day.

They were gunna bring him back to do Lost Galaxy but some of the other composers were getting jealous of comparisons to his music (supposedly) which is why he stopped doing the themes for a bit. In fact I think there is a demo for Lost Galaxy that he did out there. He was asked to write a theme for Mystic Force and he actually released a demo of it that (in my opinion) is way better than the mystic force opening we got.

28:30 - Disney era started during Wild Force. Wild Force was Saban's last Power Rangers season until DIsney bought it but Ninja Storm was the first season made by Disney. RPM was their last but they also ran a revised version of MMPR S1 with writer pop-up notes.

It’s weird for Wild Force since Disney got the franchise in late 2001 when Sabans team was filming Wild Force. Sabans team did everything except Disney was the ones who released it. I think they wanted to just do re runs and then end the franchise until they saved money and went to NZ.

Small fact: not only does Power Rangers have multiple openings for each season, the same thing happened for Super Sentai, some of the newer seasons have around 5-6 iterations of the same opening, with scenes added or swap around to promote movies, crossover characters and other fun stuff

While watching Mega Force with my son, I was hooked and had to go back and rewatch a bunch of the OG stuff and some of the series I missed. Jungle Fury by far was my favorite the stunt team did amazing even a fun fact jungle Fury had the most choreographed fight scenes they probably the best rangers when it comes to pure hand to hand combat and Omg Dai Shi was a amazing villain his arc was incredible and it makes you actually want to see him Win overall I just really loved the storytelling and the amount of Action we good to see

i believe the white ranger from Jungle Fury was one of the russian guy from Netflix's Daredevil. You probably recognise the yellow ranger from RPM from iZombie. Red ranger from RPM also went on to Netflix's Jessica Jones. And the yellow ranger from DIno Thunder went on to appear in Hulu's Cloak and Dagger

Before I thought Tommy was my favorite ranger, but after going down memory lane watching this I have to say that Jen from Time Force is my favorite ranger. She was the first Pink ranger to be the leader of the squad. I particularly liked the way she ran the team. She didn't do the whole annoying "girl boss" thing that is done to death now, but instead she was a brave, driven and serious leader who the team respected. Her growth through the series came from her learning to let people into her life again after losing the guy she loved. Time Force took that same serious character trait as well as many other things from the original Sentai Timerangers. Jen was also a childhood crush as well as Katie the Yellow Time Force ranger. TLDR: Time force is my favorite series and Jen from Time Force is my favorite ranger.

I personally quite enjoyed the Zeo them followed by Dino thunder and spd. Fun fact: light speed rescue wasn’t the only time power rangers introduced non sentai rangers. Jungle Fury had 3 rangers that weren’t in super sentai. If you haven’t already, I’d recommend watching the super sentai 45th anniversary song. They actually list all 45 sentai teams that had formed at that point. I found it an interesting watch seeing all the teams that weren’t translated into power rangers 🙂.

from what I know (and this could be wrong) the franchise added in that Billy was always working behind the scenes, when they started to bring back legacy characters. We get the impression that the Zeo weapons and Zords were indeed created by Zordon and Billy. His time spent on Aquatar would have helped him learn how. Later on with Dino Thunder Tommy has n arsenal already created, but no rangers to use them until the teenagers find them. If Tommy became an archeologist, who built app the Ranger Equipment?? Then there's the new Once and always movie that establishes that Billy did indeed make a tech company. so Billy being there did seem to make sense for rest of the teams to show up. Some of them anyway

most of my childhood occurred in the Philippines watching reruns of dubbed sentai shows like Bioman, Maskman and Turbo rangers. By the time 1993 came around i was in Junior High living in Australia. Came home one day and saw teenagers fight Putties in the desert...... even though i was already older i got so excited and never stopped watching PR until Lost Galaxy. After Lightspeed and later seasons i only watched "special episodes" that were released on dvds. Full seasons dont really get released here in Australia and only the current seasons are on Netflix. Sadly my parents threw out all my PR collection from when i was a teenager.

As a kid, I remember when my father would watch Mission:Impossible and that theme stuck in my mind. I even was disappointed when I saw the first Tom Cruise version in theaters and being disappointed about its differences from the tv show... but once that theme song hit, stuff got forgiven.

I was a 95 kid so I started a tiny bit after Morphin but I know how iconic it is. I definitely watched Zeo thanks to my mom buying me the Vhs releases. I think my favorite Ranger is Carter from LightSpeed Rescue. He always seemed like a real leader to me. Plus he reminded me of James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 😂. Favorite theme is Dino Charge honestly. Was a fresh take after we heard the remix of the og theme after a good while.

Im a bit younger so I grew up with Jungle Fury and shows around that era. For me, Jungle Fury had one of the best character arcs in all of Power Rangers. Casey, the Red Ranger's character arc was so awesome. It also has an episode I have to skip everytime. Its the one where they have to face their fears in order to get new animal spirits which is where their power comes from, and unfortunately me and Lily share the same fear. It was a nightmare for me watching as a kid

Watching these openings made me feel so nostalgic. I haven't watched every season, but I feel like I need to go back and watch the ones I missed. My favorite seasons are: MMPR, Zeo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Time Force, and Dino Thunder. Some of my favorite rangers are: Tommy 💚🤍❤️🖤, Kimberly 💖, and Jen 💖.

i remember disney used to own power rangers and me and my cousin would watch them come out and meet and greet in 2007 in the place where galaxy's edge is now at Disney world and i grew up watching basically reruns of spd and dino thunder and mystic force i really remember that and jungle fury then i lost track for a while and in 2011 started watching samurai

MMPR- classic for a kid that grew up in the 90’s. The communicator tone is my text tone and the theme song instrumental is my ring tone. I have met Walter/Zack, Johnny/Adam, Karen/Aisha, and Austin/Jasone from MMPR, and Nakia/ Tonya from Zeo/Turbo. I have also met Michel Copen/Lucas from Time Force. JDF was going to be at a con near me and then the news of his death hit and I was unable to meet my favorite ranger and childhood hero. Rest in Peace , JDF. I have the wolf power coin in my morpher because that was my fav ninja zord and my commander has the blue scales because that is my fav color. Dragonzord, Tigerzord, Wolf and Falcon were my fav MMPR Zoids. I remember Red Lightning and Wind Chaser being my favorite Turbo zords. I loved Rocky’s blue Zeo zord.. I think I had a toy of it. My friend has the Turbo megazord and I was jealous. I think I had the kids toy, but the expensive replica, of Lightspeed Rescue and In Space. I loved Zhane and Ryan’s morphers. I would love to get ahold of them and Time Force. Andros and Zhane were my favorites In Space. Carter was my Lightspeed rescue fav, Wes and Jen were my favorite Time Force. Taylor and Merrick for Wild Force, Tori and Hunter in Ninja Storm, Skye and Sydney in SPD. I loved Tommy’s return in Dino Thunder. When it comes to openings: MMPR, Turbo, Zeo, In Space, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder and SPD are my 10. They are the intros and even seasons that stick with me. Many of my favorite rangers are from those seasons. I live in the Saban to early Disney eras as Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force and Jungle Fury are the Disney era seasons I watched. For Overdrive, megaforce and Ninja Steel I just watched the crossover episodes. I watched Once And Always because Billy and Zack came back along with Roxy, Kat and Trini’s actress’s actual daughter coming in to play Trini’s daughter and be Sabertooth tiger- like mother, like daughter.

the first power rangers show i ever watched was mystic force, i watched jungle fury, spd, ninja storm, time force, dino thunder, samurai, megaforce, all the way through, a little of operation overdrive hopped off during dino charge, my favorite? i couldn't possibly pick between them they all have special places in my heart

Power Rangers is this interesting Conundrum where my favorite is debatable. Like my favorite season is RPM but my favorite opening isn't that simple. I'd very much have to do a top 5 and the rank of these 5 changes almost every month.
