What the hell does a federal judge have to do with a presser for a natural disaster, especially when the mayoral representation of the affected area is there?

Mayor came into her house and tried to run the show. Transtar is county facility ( which serves about 4.8 million people) and the judge runs it. HEC 'Houston Emergency Center' is a city facility ( which serves about 2.3 million people) Hidalgo is in charge of county facilities (which was where they were at) and the mayor is in charge of city facilities. It is disrespectful for him to try to overstep his authority live on television, during a disaster. And whether we like her or not, if they had an agreement before they went on air and the mayor tries to change it while live on air, he is the one who committed the first act of disrespect.

What we all just witnessed, is the power struggle between a representative of the USA, and a representative of central and south American spanish speaking invaders.

I don’t see anything wrong with this. Sure we can clearly see they don’t have the best communication skills with each other, but that is an important point. Houston is a majority minority city, and the Spanish speaking community is huge in Harris and surrounding counties. At my daughter’s clinic we would often use the translator services because my parents and husband speak Spanish as their first language and English as their second. The pediatricians and translator worked great together, the doctor would explain something briefly and then the translator would follow up. I see why she “interrupted” I’ve translated many times and it’s often hard/ impossible to translate if you don’t do it after having heard a few sentences. Hidalgo and Whitmire have a long way to go and need to put their grudges behind them. Their duty is to Houston and shouldn’t let personal grudges get in the way of their duties. The ASL person was translating for the deaf/hard of hearing, it’s the same concept. People need to know what our mayor is saying.

what we have here is a situation that would create emotions to swell or run high for everyone. And what you saw is was someone who could not regulate those emotions correctly. Of course it’s not because she’s a female and being emotional, that’s not what I’m trying to say just to be clear. It happens to anyone when, as I said before , their emotions are running high and they cannot regulate them. They’re very dramatic or over-the-top or a little too overly zealous about in their reactions, and their perception is probably skewed a bit. It’s like calm down no ones out to get you, no one’s going to miss out or be left out. take a step back and let everyone speak in order. Your job is to keep people informed, calm, and updated. Not have a petty tiff in front of everyone leading by bad example.
