Power Update for the Addition (Molder Planer ep 14)

Today we are going to give you guys ab update for the molder planer build. The power company has cut in their right of way and came to set the transformer. we also go into why it will be a few months before we can fire up the molder planer at the earliest.

Choosing 480V as your primary voltgage will pay dividends into the future. Having installed many vaults in the past your attention to getting the pad right is a great start. I recommend you use a color other than black for all your 440-480V feeds and disconnects, this will make future ID simple and visual at no additional cost to you just use the color wire you settle on for your hots including equipment circuits. Ray

They usually do, however what I'am suggesting is a way for you to visually ID all of you distribution as to voltgage visually into the future. This will be much more valuable to you when ever you open a box or test a circuit keep in mind that the high leg will typically test 208V to ground for 3ph 220V system and can easily be mistaken as a leg for the 440V system. Ray PS Do not forget to put phase detectors on all 3ph loads with motors, this will protect you from damaging a 3ph motor if a single phase/leg drops.

Ouch, that sucks I looked at an LT 70 today. The website said 18 to 20 weeks, which is much better than before. Thx for watching and commenting 👍

wow...18 months... I was lucky, I bought my sawmill out in Ohio just before the world shut down. ( I actually bought it with money that should of gone for taxes......In the end the taxes got paid but the sawmill has been way more fun that I ever imagined ).
