Found the part for $6.99 on Amazon. Now waiting for it to arrive. I did the test by connecting the two cables and it turned on. Thank you for showing that as well.

I am very happy with the Cosori Air Fryer. It's the perfect size for the two of us. I like the fact there's very little oil being used - that helps with cooking a bit healthier kzfaq.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB for the two of us. The biggest tip is do not put parchment paper - the pre-cuts are very nice - in the basket during the pre-heat setting. You will catch it on fire. Also use Avocado Oil if you're using oil. It has a high smoke point to it. KZfaq has been great with finding recipes for the Air Fryer.

Just wanted to thank you for the easy fix. Just knew I had to purchase a new air fryer but saved me some $$$ just by replacing the switch. Tested as you did without the switch and it worked. Kudos and much gratitude.

Thanks to your dad, I was able to order the right switch off Amazon and fix my air fryer under $6 bucks. Instructions were very simple to replace, took me few minutes once I had it open.

Same exact thing, mine failed less than a year of purchasing. The company gave me an option to disable it (cutting the cord) and pay $24 for them to ship a new unit, or me paying the shipping of the failed unit ($40+ in my case) and they'd pay shipping of the new one. I was about to throw it away, was not going to invest another dollar in this, when I found this video, works again now, thank you!

This made me laugh in the beginning when you said you were making chicken wings. Mine went out the exact same way! Lol , I never would have thought the fix was this easy. Hey MacGyver - I did what you did and it worked! Saved me 167.00 dollars! I bought a new one, but decided to search KZfaq before opening it up. Watched your video, went on Amazon, bought the switch for 6 bucks and fixed it. Buddy you are the best!!!!!!

This was a great video, only thing I would add please make sure you buy a switch that states "normally open" ! If you buy normally close it will only work while tray is not in fryer. So again MAKE SURE YOU BUY "NORMALLY OPEN" SWITCH. Trust me I had to reorder mine. I was not paying attention.

wow that's thanks to this video, I discovered that this is what was wrong with mine. Connecting the two wires from the door switch, made it come back on. Now to order a Honeywell HK14 switch. Thank you so much, "Dad" !

It works! Thanks for the video and the Amazon replacement part choice. My switch still clicked but did not work. I had to have my husband help me release the clips from the switch. He had to push on the inside of clip with the point of a needle nose pliers to release the clip. The clip had a little nub to hold it to the prong. Otherwise your instructions were spot-on!

I actually have Crux and the touch panel not working if you plug in unless you open the tray and it is supposed to be calm not having the fan working in order to figure out which option you gonna choose. The fan is working but the issue is they switch the role of each other’s. Thank you for any help.

Much appreciated. Mine had five screws going into the bottom, but then there’s additional two on the inside at the bottom of where the basket slides in. jumped around it and it worked fine. Just ordered my new switch.

I found one of these Copper Chefs at an apartment clean out some one left behind. It worked a couple of times then quit. Yep, this solution still works. Tested the connection as shown. Ordered the switch. Good video, thanks much. My contacts on the switch were pretty tight and my pliers stripped some of the cladding on the negative one and I ripped off the termination spade of the other. Not much wire to work with so I had to solder the positive spade back on the wire and add cladding to both wires. May have been easier to remove the switch first, then pull the wires. Also, had one screw that seemed stripped; simultaneously used a ph2 bit and small hook to turn and lift it out, respectively.

Thank you for posting this. I have the same model as you. I just took it apart to test the switch bypass. The screws in my unit are a weird star shape and very small. It was extremely difficult to get the screwdriver to seat correctly and get these screws out. One wouldn't budge at all and I had to drill it out. Got the cover off, bypassed the switch and it came on immediately. So I just ordered the replacement switch. I might get 4 different screws since these ones were so hard to remove. The 5th screw mount point was destroyed, unfortunately. It was that or throw the whole thing in the trash.

Mine went out different model, but yeah it was the same problem. I didn’t replace it I just clean the two metal pieces that connect when you push the button in side that little box and got it working again( I use a piece of sandpaper) . Thanks you for the video it help to identify the problem.

That is a 15 amps device (likely) so we need to pay attention to the circuit it is plugged into. My wife doesn't think about these things and will plug it in with a fridge or freezer outlet. Thanks for the fix.

buddy thank you so much, I don't have the power XL air fryer but i do have the Elite Platinum Air fryer and they are the same just different name. so in my case the switch was stuck, so when I pull out the basket the air fryer will stay on but once I replace the switch it fixes it right away
