For anybody wondering...Yes, he made that vise too...If this don't inspire you to git off your a$$ , git in your shop, think of something to do with your tools instead of just looking at 'em, ???.. Well, maybe you need to evaluate why you are on this planet 😀 😉 😄!!!

Wow. I can't tell you how many bad or broken struts I've thrown away over the years. I am almost 60 years old, and grew up in an era when you had to mainly rely on yourself or close freinds, if something broke down or you didn't have something you needed. This is a great example of things you did back then...

TY 4 the excellent use of existing material to diy a chop saw. I have a 14” Makita chop saw that still works after 35yrs, but I want to have miniature one for 2” to 3” abrasive discs. I will be brainstorming your concept to diy one. That’s why I’m a subscriber 👍.

Investing hours of physical labor, electric, spare parts and your $60 angle grinder to create a platform as another tool, innovative and cool. Going to Harbor Freight and saving your time, labor, spare parts and angle grinder by purchasing a $120, 14 inch metal cutoff saw………priceless…….

Lovely job! Clever use of normally thrown-away parts! 👍 Any thought to maybe some sort of block to keep the unit from cutting into the front bar 6:35 & 9:03 when a brand new disc is installed? I'd be afraid that one time you might just forget and cut through the front piece. It looks like it's already been cut a little... might be more trouble than it's worth, and just be aware of the chopper's ability to chop itself! Again - bravo! 🙌

More Dad's need to teach their kids life lessons/hacks like this instead of thinking there is always somebody out there to fix your stuff, THEN, they don't want to pay cuz you charge too much, but yet they want someone "skillful" like this man to "fix" your stuff for Free cuz it looks likes he's having too much fun doing what he's doing... Yeah right! You still have to Pay Shop Labor....

hydraulic rams, electric motors, the prospects are endless, when I was at school, me and mate had a business selling kindling for coal fires, we went mechanical when we made a saw from a washing machine motor, some bicycle tubing, scrap steel and a 12-inch diameter circular saw from the woodyard provided by someone who worked there, total cost nothing, our firewood business stepped up several gears that weekend,

Nice. Great metal working skills... But.., chop saws are pretty cheap, and come with settings for every angle from 0°- 90° and a much deeper cut. PIf I had the time, materials, and no extra money, this would be a life saver! 😀 --- If I had to buy everything, I'm not sure I'd be saving any money.
@BB-sm8ey

Well, wobbly homegamer chop saws are "cheap"... but something as robust as this, which will never lose accuracy, and survive several grinders being mounted within it... priceless!

Seriously? You can't see this guy is using his great fabrication skills to make world class KZfaq content that gets more than 1 million page views? He probably lives in Europe and doesn't have a Harbor Freight nearby and even if there was one this artist's metal/wood fabrication & video skills are really what's priceless here!!!
@TWIRKNOLOVE
@TWIRKNOLOVE 2 жыл бұрын
He's making something useful out of scrap. Scrap metal that would of been otherwise thrown out or recycled. You don't go out and buy blown shocks, materials, tooling, and measuring devices to build something sub-par in comparison to the real deal. He got his money's worth with all the scrap he used to build it
@johnlshilling1446
@johnlshilling1446 2 жыл бұрын
@@TWIRKNOLOVE Very true. It's just a different path than I would take. No insult intended. It's just that my time is worth far more than this build. I've worked with metals most of my life and one of the reasons I spend money on tools is because they save time. I don't expect anyone else to follow my decisions, nor do I think less of anyone for making other decisions. Sorry if the original comment came across as judgemental. It wasn't intended that way.
@TWIRKNOLOVE
@TWIRKNOLOVE 2 жыл бұрын
@@johnlshilling1446 hey absolutely - I would never use my time to do what he did, but in all honesty, he’s doing it to entertain us and grow his channel. Someone as skilled as him must have an arsenal of proper tooling.
