We own three KM6 Deluxe. We use them primarily for IPTV services and some streaming services such as Netflix and Prime. Excellent value for $109.

Got one of these coming in the mail this week to replace a pi 4 in the man cave. Didn't want another Shield and this looks like a good alternative.

Thanks for your review; looks like a promising box. Is HLG HDR supported from KZfaq? Does your TV indicate HLG? Also for local media, Prime Video and Disney+, is 23.976 supported, or does content play at 60? Finally, is ATMOS supported for local media; what about DTS-HD MA?

Also, a bit of a selling point of S905X4 is av1 decoding

Meecool has been notified and aware of users with 5g connection issues , WiFi completely dropping out after 10-20 minutes. They’ve acknowledged that to those who contact them directly and tell them of an upcoming firmware fix possibly . Anyone who owns this try running on5g tonight see if your speeds drop. Or if 5g networks even shows up for you.

Hey Chigz: With relation to your chart and positioning devices, in part, according to their Antutu benchmark scores. With each new Antutu version seems as if the bar is artificially raised by standard scores rating devices with higher valuations on the same exact devices that scored lower with previous versions of Antutu. So my question is: To get a more realistic sense of Antutu benchmarks, shouldn't all previously rated devices be tested with the very same version of Antutu?? Or are ALL the devices on your chart retested with each new version of Antutu. I understand that you list other factors that are calculated into your final device rating, but Antutu does play a part which could compromise the overall score. If all devices aren't retested with each new version of Antutu, then those scores could be meaningless. Just say'n. Thanks for all you do sir!

ATV version of Netflix requires registering every device model you sell with Netflix and as far as I know there are fees for this. There's also requirement in agreement between Netflix and in this case Mecool where Mecool agrees to sell X number of units. I know that minimum requirement for north america is 1 million devices. That's why you won't see ATV version of Netflix on most chinese boxes.

Most tvs nowadays has built in netflix, that the issue irrelevant for most of us. The mi box has a week hardware, which needs upgrade. It's important having new competitors in the market.

Hello, I ordered a mecool km6 deluxe edition 4/64 gb from the official site and installed it yesterday. I have a problem with most of the apps. Google Play Store is not working. It says an error: Check your WI-FI or get a notification when your connection comes back

Just saying the s905x4 is mostly about the new free av1 video codec and as seen but not commented, the stats for nerds on KZfaq clips shows codec: av01. Would have been nice with a direct comparison between av1 and h264/h265 :)

Does the KM6 Deluxe supports surround Sound (5.1) / (dolby, etc.) pass through? Especially when streaming IPTV. Some say it supports that function while other (e.g. geekbuying) tell their customers it's not able with this box. Mecool customer service don't respond to customer questions. i got an Yamaha RX-V... AV receiver and a 5.1 surround System which is connected to my Samsung TV (connect box) via SPDIF/optical cable and i wanna get sure i am able to use my Sound System while watching IPTV.? If it only supports that function through HDMI it wouöd be okay too. Sadly theres no concrete information from Mecool - many people use a setup like mine (AV-receiver) for surround sound, so that info would help many others too..

Anyone contemplating buying the KM6 should be aware of some of the deficiencies of the KM6. It took me a lot of hack workarounds to make the TV box tolerable. 1.) By default, the remote control must be used for all navigation, microphone communications and screenshots. Yet the remote is not rechargeable. 2.) The KM6 doesn't support the use of an external mic, although the native remote control mic can only listen for 30 seconds at a time. Good luck trying to do any dictation or voice recording with that. 3.) There is no "Hey Google" feature, just Android TV's Google Assistant, and it doesn't understand all the commands of stock Google Assistant. 4.) Only the native file manager can write to or delete from external storage, but it's incapable of network transfers. So you'll need an additional network file manager to transfer from a computer to a KM6's external drive. 5.) The KM6 lacks the Private DNS feature of stock Android 10. 6.) Sideloaded apps cannot be added to the homescreen Favorites list without a hack.

You should upgrade your internet....there are some issues with achieving high speeds with various boxes but we cant tell with your tests...thxs

If I use the power button to shut down the device I can't turn it on anymore unless I unplug the power cord. Does yours behave the same? Thanks

I got one but it has issues. After shutting down, it won't restart with the remote, I have to unplug the power to restart it. Upon restart, the WIFI fails to automatically connect 90% of the time. It also had some conflict with my Yamaha AV receiver. It would run fine for 90 minutes or so and then the picture would start glitching. Also the fake woodgrain top fell off.

Most wanna know if somehow stadia will run in a browser with these specs, with or without the Stadia controller. Maybe you should re-index all boxes with a new Stadia compatible column?
