ANCESTRAL CURSE unfolds as a gripping mystery thriller set amidst the stunning backdrop of a secluded cabin resort. It only took a couple minutes (less actually, but I held on a bit) to determine that the acting is less than mediocre, as well as the story.

I wish it weren't so fast paced! The story moves so incredibly quickly, it's hard to keep up! They really needed a director who could slow it down a little. And don't even get me started on the brilliant dialogue and subtle, but stellar, acting! No one could ever describe this as a stupid waste of time.

The entire movie is about a rich mans family sitting around with his lawyer at the reading of his will, speculating on which one of them may, or may not have killed his unappreciative sleaze bag adopted daughter . Pretty boring stuff imo

I like "foul" language because it's realistic. Words don't have magical powers. We have control of and over the language that we have created. We control words so don't let them control you. It just doesn't make sense to be afraid of words.

This was so good, it’s sad her dad was gaslighting her like that. Had her thinking she was crazy, all to keep her from exposing him, knowing she knew the truth! The ending was beautiful though, imagine a cousin blessing you like that! Pure hearts literally do pure things ❤

A lot of these old English low key films are what we called the B Movie. The one put on before the Main attraction with the big names. I was shocked when they stopped making these and only gave us one film. Cheap skates.

The acting in this movie was the real curse. Followed closely by the plot. Really, has anyone ever seen a Polaroid capture a viable image under such poor conditions? Much less to be able to zoom in and identify a reflection in a mirror, in the background? After 10 years? They really don't produce archival quality, you know. I wish I would have given it a pass. 4 thumbs down, and I don't have that many thumbs.

The acting is not the best. It sounds forced & quite fake. The conversations just don’t flow. Terrible story & the sniffing of cocaine is annoying together with the foul language. Not the best film. Couldn’t look through the entire film

It's a bit concerning to me that people are so offended by swearing in a movie still, it's a movie people, be more offended by real people & their actions not their words, especially sweet talking politicians.
