Funny enough, that’s a localization error. In the Japanese version, Megaman stays silent after Wily invokes the first law of robotics, signifying that he knows he can’t kill him and that frustrates him. It’s honestly a pretty cool ending that was ruined in NA releases.

I'd watch more of the "Did You Game, Knowing" the series. This is the best one yet from you; a lot of fast paced jokes in succession, the re-interpretation of the story is so good, and the editing is very involved. I loved Mega Man 7 growing up! This and Mega Man 8....even though I never actually beat MM8 (got stuck in the first Wily Stage and never beat it).

As weird as it was the way Capcom presented it, I kinda like the American version of 7's ending but also the context of the original Japanese ending where Rock was silently charging his buster. Since I always headcannon that when Dr Light learns of Rock almost breaking one of if not THE most important law of robotics, that's what made Dr Light put X into a 30 year (initially) long sleep to test his morals before he could be released into the world along with feeling the world wasn't ready for X yet. The American version of the ending just made it a bit more...edgy and cheesy honestly lmao

What a great video! I'm glad that you didn't rush the video like the game was and you put your time into it. I enjoyed the bits of the video where everyone argued and how DR. Light envied Mega Man. Burst man is my favorite robot master from this game. He's actually based on a bubble blowing toy, and was originally stationed at the chemical plant as a security guard before Wily kidnapped him and added the bombs in for combat utility. Given that his weapon is called danger wrap, and it uas the ability to trap enemies inside bubbles. I like to think it was designed as a harmless and ethical way to capture both human and robotic intruders before Wily added in the explosives

I literally just beat MM7 yesterday (no thanks to that goddamn final boss) but I gotta say... Mega Man 7's ending is probably my favourite. The music is the best, and the fact that Mega Man walks away from the explosion instead of teleporting away really sells the fact that Mega Man is pissed! Amazing video as always. Was super excited for this one!

You had me at the thumbnail, especially since I used to call him Bass (as the fish) as a kid. Been excited for this one, let's goooooo! The screen crunch took a bit of getting used to when I went to replay it recently, but the game still holds up. I have noticed they'd taken a lot of ideas from prior Mega Man games, let alone MMX. I'm mixed about weapon weaknesses locking down robot masters -- some fights like Freeze Man are brutal without them. And the secret Ghosts n' Goblins theme in Shade Man's stage is my favorite version of that song, like, anywhere. I also never knew how many secrets this game had, heh.

honestly, i like the idea behind the 4 robot master split, help the game to had a better difficulty balance and better stage design (wich was mastered in megaman and bass) Previuos megaman games has the flaw of having a total mess of stage design, like heat man stage, totally unplayable without weapon 2 as always, good video

Power-Verse MegaMan really had it rough in MegaMan 7. Burning down the forest cause Proto Man suggested it, putting down the legendary robot that started it all, and being backstabbed by Bass the Fish-bot. All that buildup of negativity to nearly killing Wahwee

Yeah and the rough times are not going to end anytime soon. After all Megaman calling bass a fish will cause a ripple effect that will curse the power-verse megamen for years. And not just because Bass returns in Megaman 8 but It will effect Megaman.EXE from the battle network timeline a- HOLD IT *Chronoforce time stop sfx from Megaman ZX Advent plays* This is the spoiler alert squadron here to report that beyond this point will have spoilers for Megaman Battle Network 2 and Megaman battle Network 3, if you plan on playing them in the future and do not want to be spoiled then do not scroll beyond this point. Thank you for your time *Deactivates Chronoforce and leaves* Alright then so as I was saying the ripple effects from Power-Verse Megaman Classic mistaking Bass for a Fish would also likely play a part in the rise of the Netmafia Gospel in the Battle network timeline of the Power-Verse which in turn would cause many high profile crimes including but not limited to Ransom, Plane Hijacking, deactivation of environmental systems and the main one the near death of Power-Verse Hub and the rest of the world to EM Radiation created from Bug Fusion levels that too damn high. While WWW gets revived in the background by planet man. While the world still being shaken up by the event in BN2, in BN3 Neo WWW would team up with Bass.EXE to unseal Alpha and in turn and nearly destroy both Net-society and the world, (I say nearly because both calamities were halted thanks to the Hikari family and Lan’s friends stopping them and saving the world in both) and that all happened because a Megaman in a different timeline mispronounced bass’s name. Now that I wrote this the reply is admittedly kinda convoluted.
