The poster frame is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you. Otherwise I was getting a splash of the first frame before the video started later on. Now it starts right from what the audience is seeing. Perfect.

Very helpful, thanks. I downloaded a video, but the subtitles I wanted didn't appear on the video one can find on KZfaq. Any suggestions?

We guess that would depend on the program used. With KZfaq, the subtitles automatically appear.

Great video and easy to follow. I use Powerpoint 2016, I can insert an MP4 video and it plays fine, but I can't see the play buttons or timeline at the bottom of the video. Any idea what's going on here?

PowerPoint sometimes hides the Play button to reduce clutter, but normally it will appear when you move the mouse over the video. Hope this helps!

Great Video! Is there a way to add both audio and video in the same slide and have them both start automatically, with the video being muted?

Yes! To play audio automatically, select the audio clip, go to the Playback tab, click the Audio Options drop down menu, and select Automatically. To mute video, select the video, go to the Playback tab, click the Volume icon, and select Mute. To play it automatically, click the drop down menu next to Start, and select Automatically. Hope this helps!

If you're adding a video from your computer, it will be embedded within your file as soon as you add it, so there's nothing else you need to do. If you're adding an online video, you'll need an active Internet connection to play it. Hope this helps!

i m insertng short video clips on slides.. but some of my video's direction changes.. others clips are playing fine in powerpoint.. i have changed the direction but still those clips are not normal in powerpoint...but it they are played on moile or on laptop then they are playing fine..can you tell me the solution plllzzz

What format do the videos have to be in to add them?

That if you save to PDF? Does the video sill play? Do voiceovers still work?

Videos and voiceovers aren’t compatible with the PDF format. If your presentation relies on these features, you would need to either share the PowerPoint file itself or export it as a different format (for example, you can export the presentation as a video).

PowerPoint 2016 will accept MP4, MKV, M4V, MOV, WMV and AVI video files. Hope this helps!

If the video is on your desktop, but you want to share the powerpoint to other users. How would other people access the video?

My friend's video that he have insert don't have the play button (white bar).. but still can play when full screen.. then he saved the presentation in pendrive and presents it using teacher's laptop with PowerPoint 2007.. unfortunately, the video can't be play.. i afraid that this happen to me (video issue) after i send my presentation to my teacher using email.. plz help

every time I try to add the video I keep reciving this message: (power piont cannot insert a video from the selected file. Varify that the path and file format are correct, and try again.) although I already added a previous video from the same file and format, do you have any suggesstions?
