A new Blood Ceremony record is out as of this month! To celebrate, I wanted to make a lyric video for one of the tracks on said album, that song being Powers of Darkness. In the background is Suspiria (1977), one of my favorite films. That, and the 2018 remake are in the top five of that list. The lyrics in this song mention the Mother of Sighs, which is one of the names for Mother Suspirium in the universe of the Three Mothers. I thought that was a nice tie-in. Plus, this song is ridiculously catchy. Took me some time to come around to it, but I really like it. Reminds me of Flower Phantoms from Lord of Misrule. Short, sort of upbeat, but with dark undertones.
