A must have for the homestead, even with a tractor. I ran out of PAM this year and used Blaster garage door spray on the auger and Shute areas, worked great for heavy/wet snow an might of gained 10ft on the throwing distance. I made a Impeller mod out of an old semi-truck mud flap and holy cow , gained at least 20 ft throw and zero clogging.

Great tip, my wife picked up some spray for plows that is supposed to do the non stick thing, the Pam seems like a better/cheaper idea

Excellent video Eric :) my late Dad bought snowblower in 2009 it Simplicity brand orange plus blue stripe a 1428 it has Briggs & Stratton 13.5 hp single cylinder 500 cc with rip cord also electronic starter motor 3 wire type orange lens with white bulb light up 28 inches mouth on it! Only thing never didn't get much 2 to 4 times a season or not at all ! But since 2015 I did use it one whole Winter season November to April in 2017 and 2020 plus last year more of 2023 ! But becarefull to on January 10 2024 at 4pm in Ontario Canada I was snowblower driveway live at Foward speed 2 gear and high wind caught me blew a 6 foot 7 inch tall guy (me) to and thought grap snow poker plus brush machine had ! Heard snap on medium idle of machine like belt or shear pin went on me ! Also turn throttle to kill motor and my right hand middle finger in shute and got fast lost my finger nail plus blood and had bandage up fast plus be okay since no stitches! But lucky lose hand or worst and did snowblower on Sunday afternoon on January 14 2024 took easy first gear only and got more on January 18 coming but phone my neighbor farmer told get heavy duty snowblower on farm tractor Desiel and his 4×4 Case International one with blower for me and work on deal too! Not injured again myself from Mother's Nature!

@@FarpointFarms yes Eric 👍 also had good pair gloves and felt electrical shocking when it happen afterwards! Then saw damage right hand middle finger after took glove good grip but doesn't hurt as bad was to now! Keep up on cleaning up and hope no problem in future!

only used mine once so far in western nova scotia been getting gail winds and heavy rain ..giving cold till sunday -7 then warming up again to around freezing mark..but ill take this any day my buddy in alberta they had -45 and higher in fort mack -50 that changes the equation a lot people scrambling to find block heaters

Man I hate it when it's winter. I love to work on the property, and it's just no fun when your hands and feet freeze while trying to do anything useful. The tools in my garage get so cold It makes working on cars no fun as well.

Nice video! I got one too for 5 years ago, I just ask myself why I havent buy one earlier… I boost mine with wheel chains, it makes sense some days! I realy recomending that. 73 sm4… in Sweden

Right on, at first I was skeptical about it but my wife swore by them. Guess she was right. I like the chains idea- Our driveway is ice and we are due to have more ice tonight then another 8-12" of snow tomorrow

Years ago my dad bought an MTD snow thrower. It should have been named POS. Because that's what it was.

Great snow blower!! I considered buying one but got my old faithful 23 year old Yard machines back up. What is the parts availability on this? Some people have a hard time.

I have not looked to see what parts were available. It looks like some MTD sheer pins were compatible, so that gives me hope

this one is gas- They do make some that are battery powered but they would not even touch my long driveway

So the weather man called for 2-6 inches for the day- We ended up at over a foot, I want to cringe that they are calling for more on Friday.

Scraping a steep driveway is sketchy at best, even with chains , having the snow blower with all those features reduces the white knuckle Oh Sh*t moments by quite a bit.

Maybe after old man winter is done dumping on us, more snow in a few days. The weather man only called for 2-6 for the whole day, we ended up with over a foot. I hate liars!

We filmed some with the drone today- It finally stopped snowing the the sun was shinning. It was 3 this morning
