This song grew on me. When the verse kicked in I thought "here we go, same old shit" but after a few listens the chorus and section after have been stuck in my head.

“NIGHT OF A 1,000 FIRES!” Love that verse! and yeah i had to listen to it a few times before i really appreciated it which isn’t always the case with this band…My Will Be Done i instantly knew it was a classic⚡️🐺

I know Powerwolf has a same-y sound in their version of power metal but I love them. They're so catchy. I don't care if they're singing about crazy over the top stuff or not. It's just fun to listen to.

I felt the same way after the first listen. But after my third listen, I actually think this is a great song. Then again, I'm saying this as an AVID fan of "Call of the Wild" and someone who probably wouldn't even be a fan of the band if not for that album. I absolutely love their new sound and I'm glad they appear to be continuing it.

Totally bro and honestly that’s how it goes for a lot of good songs…this song i feel there’s just a lot to absorb, it’s not a No Prayer at Midnight type song it’s a Where the Wild Wolves Have Gone type song.

I agree with the Chris Harms vocal cover, what an awesome cover. I really like the new song personally. It's narrative-driven, sure, but the sound to me even though it does veer on the Sabaton style, is closer to the earlier work than the more experimental stuff they've played with the last two albums.

I pretty much had the same reaction as you guys(and as a Sabaton fan I made that comparion as well with my friend lol). For me watching the music video the first time makes it pretty good because of the visuals and audio together but after that I dont really have any urge to just listen to the song itself.

You should try to listen to it more, because it gets better and better, especially if you think about the live version of it. I don't think Sabaton and Powerwolf are similar..

Powerwolf is awesome. My son is listening to Sainted by the Storm thousand times a day l. Lol. This song is great as the vast majority of PW songs. Hey, would you react to the song Rainbow of Shadows from Lethal Accords? It is a Brazilian metal band that is showing up to the metal scene, so a reaction video from you would be showing them to more people.

Christopher Kolumbus discovered Amerika in 1492 - at least that is what Germans learn in school 😃 - but the song is realy great ❤🐺about Peter Stump: Peter Stumpp (c. 1535 - 1589) was a German farmer and alleged serial killer, accused of werewolfery, witchcraft and cannibalism. He was known as "the Werewolf of Bedburg". He was executed in the most cruel way one can imagine.

If joakim from Sabaton sang the Chorus, I bet noone would have noticed that its a Powerwolf song. Especially the drums are typical Sabaton.

Guys, the last 2 albums where unexpectedly bad, especially the Interludium. In this song I see some old powerwolf story telling like Tiger of Sabrod vibe, and that makes me hyped for the new album. I think is going to be a hell of an album. After Sacrament of sin, there was not any song to make you feel like "damn that's powerwolf".

Powerwolf were the second band, I have listened to (first Sabaton). And it sounds more and more like Sabaton... I miss songs like Secrets Of Sacristy, Dead Until Dark, The Sacraments Of Sin...

Seriously you've been blown away by dancing with the dead? Probably one of the least interesting songs I heard from Powerwolf.. 1589 is much better in comparison, especially live it will be a great song for the chorus. After it's not the best Powerwolf's song but still a good one.

I definitely enjoyed this 1589 track 😆 I always wanted a "story track" from PowerWolf and there hasn't been any solid tracks since Blood of the Saints or if they tried to make a music/movie video or Altars on Fire or Wolfborn 😅 I too wanted 1589 to be an 8 minute movie with spliced parts of the music track within the movie😂 Meanwhile Nightwish actually does have the "8 minutes track" half movie. Half music video 😅
