We've always translated from the original manuscripts, there is no difference in the manuscripts then and now. It has been translated into many different languages but they're still translated from the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts

You'll find that we have over 5500 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament alone ranging from an age of 30 years after the death of Christ to around 150 years after the death of Christ. The Iliad until quite recently we only had seven manuscripts and they were written about 700 years after Homer died. The historical manuscript evidence for the Bible is second to none. Whether you believe what's in it or not is besides the point. there is no book in human history which has been better preserved than the Bible.

This song is actually blasphemous if you look into the band and their lyrics.( its still a fun song to turn on and listen to dont get me wrong). The band states that they are not christain but that they are "spiritual" now if you look to there song titles they bring up the name of the devil in a pleasant way, instead of depicting him as an evil being they depict him as a king or president not a God but a high ruling figure ( it is a common thing that people who tend to favor the devil more often do because they don't worship him as a God because they don't want to be seen as inferior. Its a wierd way of thinking that is hard to fully explain.) A prominent part of the song were you can see how they view the crusades is in the line "we aim to kill and plunder" and there is a line in the song where in Latin it translates to "praise be the wolf priest" which in the bible wolves were viewed to be cruel and corrupt, thats why the government sometimes calls certain drug dealers or spies "the wolf". So by saying praise be the wolf priest it means that the christain preists were corrupt and evil, and if you read about the antichrihst it says that his goal is to make people view the church as corrupt so sing in a catchy tune praise be the wolf priest in a language that many of the view dont know tricks them into singing that the church is corrupt (singing is used as a means of worship, thats why some songs about anything have the singer singing in intense emotion they are basically singing in worship to something thats why their emotions are so prominent, so the singer is worshiping the idea that the church is corrupt) And in the line we aim to kill and plunder that sticks out like a sore thumb, it shows how the singer views the crusades which is slanderous and false because if you look at the battle of acre they said over and over kill only who you need to and spare those who you can, so the line we aim to KILL and PLUNDER is blasphemous. The song mixes in wreched messages while basically saying this was all in the name of God and that this is what he wills. So that mixed on top of the fact that the band is not christain but "spiritual" is a blatant mocking of Christ, Christians, and the faith as a whole.

They lucked out with two things; Tabards with cool, clean iconography (a colored field with a giant cross is VERY distinct) and more importantly, the *great helm*. Without a doubt, when someone thinks of "medieval knights", they think of the great helm, even though it only existed for a relatively short time, it just looks so damn awesome that it defines the entire image of the era. It's like the Tyrannosaurus rex of medieval armor.
