If you ever get the opportunity, please listen to Powerwolf live. They are one of the few bands where, in my opinion, their live performance is even better than studio recordings. The sound just carries far more and the voice is truer. An incredible experience

I dont get this? Is this song actually made from a christian perspective? Im a christian myself but im not entirely sure what the lyrics is trying to get across. Are we the wolves that are sinners in need of Jesus' blood to be forgiven? Or are the wolves the hypocrites in the church as the bible puts it? Or is this about wars that faith has caused? I really cannot tell

Doyou think so? Because although im a christian and see how the blood being drunk is about forgiveness, i cannot tell what the lyrics is trying to get across, and i dont know if this is a christian band, and even if it was, how do i know if they are not trying to say something else with the blood metaphor and wolf stuff? Is this about the pharisees because thats what wolves represent in the bible as well as satan? Wolves devour sheep... So i really dont get it, do you? I just hope this song gives glory to God and not the opposite

@@yowgert_9424 This is a subject that comes up fairly often with Powerwolf. They're not a "Christian band," they're a Christianity-themed fantasy band. They borrow imagery, subjects, ideas, language, and other bits and pieces from Christianity to ultimately craft a fantasy world and fictional stories. As far as _actual_ Christianity goes, they're not really "saying" anything, so you probably shouldn't try to pull real symbolism out of it. It's pure fantasy, with a Christian flavor. Although, if it helps, the Christian side is usually portrayed as the "good guys," generally speaking. Or at least, the team they're rooting for.

When I was living with my parents and grandprarents in the country farms when we were little we ALWAYS go to the basement in full moonligth. My grandfather told me to NEVER wonder outside in full moon beccause POWERWOLF could take me and never appear again.
