Teasing me with simpsons gameplay yet again. I really hope that cab is coming this year. Great review and a very cool product. I obviously wish it had all the game names correct and it had more power but it has tons of functionally that makes this cool.

I've got the 2019 version of this Pow and I actually like it a lot. My kid and his friends just about played it to death because it was so novel. Now I'm looking at doing a multicade, although I'll probably never get to use it because they'll be all over it. Hey that's totally cool, it's kind of the point actually. That thing Kinda reminds me of a cross between a lab top and a early 1990s game boy. I know its call a lap top but I always called it a lab top when they first came out years ago because i always thought it should have been use in lab. Hahaha

It really is always satisfying to peel that off.

Question, does it run if the cover is closed and you are on controllers? If so then the Clamshell design really does help it function like a true 2-in-1 portable bartop and a solid retro couch+tv game console. Looks like a great device at a really great price. This form factor seems really perfect for arcade/fighting/beatemups/shooters. When I saw pics of this and the A12 I thought they looked cheap so I didn't investigate further, but seeing a NEO GEO sticker on the A12 made me realize what they were going for and after checking it out I actually turned around completely. The form is great, but the aesthetics aren't. If I were to flesh out the look I would go fully NEOGEO instead of the big hunk of red plastic look. 1) NEOGEO "inline" colors RYGB butons - With Dark Grey and Black for the bottom right two. The buttons are fine, but the current colors contribute to it looking like a kids toy and cheap. 2) Change the top of the controller shell and the front of the screen shell to black, and the bottom system to red. The front of the device is just too much solid red, and this is more in keeping with how the NEO cabinets are actually are colored with most of the player facing surface colored black and the outside area is solid red. 3) But now that's too much black! So add a faceplate like the one on the RGB20, but red with NEOish angled stripes white stripes, Black around the game buttons, with clear white lettering on each button to make them much more legible. 4) The five smaller buttons are now taller and in white with a small black faceplate with a white boarder and white labels to look like the select/player buttons on the NEO. The red buttons on he red body look terrible and too shallow on the original, and are a major contributor to its cheap look. 5) The Powkiddy logo should also match with a white outline, black background, white text. Possibly move logo to compartment cover. I get you might not want to incur too much SNK attention, but if you are willing to copy the entire Famicom controller aesthetic for the RGB20... why not? Especially if the only color you offer is NEO GEO RED, might as well go all out.

Really interested if you can flash a different firmware to it, operating system front end. I doubt it would be powerful enough to run certain things for sure, but it is Android based I'm sure. I don't know what version

looks cool for the price. not sure why they spread the buttons so far apart though... cant wait till someone makes bigger, more powerful laptop arcades with trackballs and lit marqees :)

I’ve just got mine and unboxed it. When screwing in the stick it just keeps turning at the end and doesn’t screw in completely tight😖 Is that normal? Is that the same with yours? Thanks

Okay. I might as well mention it on here since this video encouraged me to mod the device to begin with. Sadly I do believe the power button has broken, and I'm not quite sure if it's the switch attached to the motherboard or if its the plastic pushbutton giving me issues. The pushbutton will not "lock" in place once pressed nor will it turn on the device unless pressed in extremely hard. Also, unfortunately the sd card fell out and broke in half. Now, I know you can buy the motherboard for the device separately on Aliexpress and that it supposedly comes preloaded with 9000 games but do I even need to do this? Would it solve anything or is there a simpler solution? Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
