Practical Folks Pearl Bailey was long dead by this point. No voice actress, no Big Mama. But they could have replaced the voice actress with Oprah or Queen Latifah!

I don’t think big mama🦉 and the other birds would be important to the plot also when todd🦊 and copper🐶 were playing together the birds never really got involved If you watch the original you’ll notice that big mama🦉 and the other birds pretty much never talk to copper🐶 or whenever todd🦊 and copper🐶 are hanging out the only time they were involved was when todd🦊 was by himself So my best guess is that during this movie big mama🦉 is busy doing her own thing while the other 2 birds are busy trying to catch the little caterpillar 🐛
