Thank u! I've never worked with rafia before. Does it come in different sizes, and what size did you use?

Raffia is very unfamiliar to work with, but quickly becomes a favourite material. My raffia is 3 mm thick, you can use any thickness, I do not emphasise this on purpose, as the masters have their favourite hook sizes and favourite yarn manufacturers!

Hi! This pattern will work with any yarn. The main thing is to crochet a circle (the bottom of the hat) with a diameter of 16-17 centimetres.

I have a small head. How do I decrease the pattern so it fits me?

Measure the circumference of your head in centimetres Divide that number by 3.14 (pi). And subtract 1 to 1.5 centimetres. Round up to the nearest number. This number is the diameter of your circle (my first 6 rows - you may have more or fewer rows)

What type of raffia do you use?

I crocheted it from Folia raffia because I had it at home. But you can use any raffia and any yarn to crochet this bucket hat.
