I definitely would wear the 32mm in a green strap, just like Major Winters in Band of Brothers or the gentlemen at The Great Raid. Very glad that more brands are turning their attention to historical sizes; the more options the better.

I absolutely love my A-11 Tom Rice from this brand. Great to see one of their other watches.

Nice. My 1970's CWC and others aren't as robust as the day they were made. This is a nice daily wear that preserves the appeal with modern materials. Bracelet just underscores their commitment to preserving heritage, even if rubes can't appreciate it or distinguish quality from aliexpress trash.

Yeah, I am just not seeing $500+ monetary value here. It's a simple 3 hand no-date mechanical plain dial homage. My Swiss Made Hamilton ETA 4hz mechanical hand wound military watch spanks that, and cost me about $250 less. Perhaps I would feel differently with it in hand.

I feel it's one of those watches that is very Niche. you either love it and have to have it or it's just an overpriced watch. the Hamilton is probably one of this watches biggest competition for sure, but it definitely feels like a modern watch...while this Praesidus feels very vintage. I love my hamilton, I think they are excellent value in the watch world

Great review, just ordered one. The lack of counter balance on the second hand is kind of strange looking, but it goes with the overall minimalist aesthetic.

I like it. The bracelet is unique and so fun! It's assembled in USA, with a Swiss mouvement. I don't think this is too expensive. Thanks for the review, Steve.

I have a blind spot when it comes to military watches. I don’t see the quality differences between a watch like this and a simple alli special. I get that I’m new too the hobby and this will change…but for now, I think I will just buy the 11.99 quartz watch and put it on a decent strap.

I think a lot of people are missing the point with this watch, which isn't surprising given the watches I usually focus on here, but this isn't meant to be super high quality, it's supposed to give someone the look and feel of a vintage piece, but without the problems of a vintage watch. Vintage look and feel, but modern components and reliability

I have 2 original A-11’s I absolutely love and the idea of getting a modern one to wear on days I don’t want to potentially damage the originals intrigues me a great deal. Question from your review: they modified an automatic movement to make it manual, did they also remove the overwind clutch? In other words, is there now a stopping point when you wind it so you know you’ve fully wound it or will it wind indefinitely like winding an automatic with the stem?

I think a lot of it comes down the the visual appeal of the watch as I haven't seen much with this particular style. So you are paying more for that, paying for the US assembly and QC, really nice packaging and straps, and the swiss movement. I wouldn't call the watch itself anything special in terms of case design or finishing. But there's no denying the vintage charm but the modern movement. If you're looking for bang for the buck, this probably isn't for you, but if you value the movement and aesthetics (and US assembly/QC) then I think the price is justified

This is too much for me, especially for a simple vintage design, but I don't agree with others that it's horrendously overpriced. Just buying the movement and bonklip bracelet at retail would be almost half their asking price.
