Power BI: Basic Row-Level Security

In this video, Angelica will explain what row-level security is and how you can easily implement it on your datasets to control users' access to the data. Row-level security (RLS) is a two-part process that begins in the Power BI Desktop and is completed in the Power BI Service. Row-level security allows you to restrict users' access to certain rows of data by creating a role that will filter down the data in the specified table you wish to apply security to.

This is great - how do you apply Row-Level Security differently for different pages? Our summary page can be viewed by anyone but its the breakdown pages which we want to restrict.

Thanks for the video. may I check with you that, after added email address as role member. that user account need to have power bi license to view this report. how user will be viewing report? would you please help to clarify on that.

My power bi only shows the Dax option to filter.... How do I swap? Or how do I put multiple filters with Dax?

in Dax you can use || as the OR command. For example, you can do [Region]="US" || [Region]="Canada"

I'm missing something. Performed all of the tasks and roles are testing correctly, but RLS is not being applied. Any user can see all data.

It appears the RLS is working. I believe since I am admin/owner of the report I have full access. We tested using a different user and it is looking good.
