I met James at a junior brass band tournament when I was kid. I was 1st solo cornet. We won that year. He's legendary!

I love james' pure, big, phat tone. There's no sound like that unless you're united with the trumpet.

One as a pianist would appreciate it if a key could be sustained and dynamized as is done with a note on the trumpet. But we have tremolos, by the way! haha.

Exceptional on the tongue trills is James. Not an easy feat on trumpet. So light and flexible. Awesome changes in trumpet intonation creating a different sound on the same horn.

My dad used to be the boy who would shine the light towards James when he played at in my dads town. He never got a cent for it ..only free soda refills for the night😂
