So glad I ordered this kit. I’m not typically a mushroom fan, but they look really cute in the pastel colors. Love the black background, I might try this technique with dark navy on a snowflake embossing folder.😁

Oh wow.... I love these cards so much Amy. They are such a treasure. I've tried the blackout technique but I guess I pressed too hard with my versafine black onyx ink pad. I must try this again some day

yeah you don't want to press the ink pad at all - just make contact with the paper and drag it. It takes a while to get coverage b/c you aren't using any pressure but that's what makes it work ;)

Have you seen the new Astro paste by Simon Hurley? Not sure if it can be watered down to splatter but lots of glittery shine.

I wouldn't mess with attempting to water down pastes to splatter with them, besides the fact that watering down a glitter paste will effectively remove what's in it to hold the glitter to the paper

no that involves stamping and heat embossing to build layers of colors before covering in black ink. Somewhat similar but not the same technique

I need a floral embossing folder just so I can try this technique. All of my folders are geometric. I've tried it but it doesn't look in any way interesting.
