In this video, we have discussed the wives, children and descendants of Marichi's son Rishi Kashyap who is one of the saptarshi in the current Manvantara i.e., Vaivasvata Manvantara. Kashyap is said to be the progenitor of all living beings. From him, 12 Adityas, Daitya, Danavas, Apsaras, Gandharvas, Yakshas, and many many animals were born. Kashyap is said to have married 13 daughters of Prajapati Daksha, who was a mindborn son of God Brahma.

It seems impossible only if you think of Kashyapa & his 13 wives as humans. Remember, humans came much later, as one of their creation. Hence they themselves don't need to be humans. But some kind of primordial creative power of the universe. Like Shakti and Shiva, though anthropomorphized - aren't actually humans, but the very power & it's substrate from which creation arises. Giving them human names, calling them he, she etc. is just metaphorical and not literal. It helps put into language which is otherwise ineffable. When one says electricity "flows" or the wind "roars" it's not literal but saying "flows" & "roars " helps point at something they are doing which is not literally flowing & roaring. It's a language aid.

I thought that Apsaras came from the Churning of the Ocean.Puloma is the father of Sharmsmitha,the ancestor of the Kuru race.Takshak was an enemy of Krishna while Shesha was the Celestial bed of Lord Vishnu.i thought that Andhak was blessed to Hiranyaksha through the grace of Lord Shiva.Hindu mythology is a beautiful!

That Samudra Manthan happened in Afghanistan during Manu6-Manu7 Sandhya. This narrative in the video is from Manu2, same as the Noah/Nuh of the Bible/Qur'an.

Beautiful, I have a visualization sometimes seeing Kasyapa and Aditi are in the center surrounded by the 12 other wifes, like the zodiac. They all are spinning and different beings emanate from them. All filled with multicolored lights 😄 and intertwining ornamental beauty 😅😅 I probably ate to much mushrooms when I was young, no offense 🙏🏻✨

This story is NOT metaphorical at all. The Swarochisha Manvantara, happened in modern day upper Mesopotamia, and the person called Noah/Nuh of the Bible was the same person as the Swarochisha manu. This story and the Biblical narrative describes the same set of events in different language (metaphorical).

it's the other way round. Rishi Kashyap rsidence was in Kashmir hence the name of the plce. HIs offspring from Dhanu moved to central Asia and beyond into europe
