Claire couldn't cheer the cat up. 3.The day before Mrs. Adam's coming back Caesar made a terrible mess in the apartment. 4. Jack helped Claire a lot. So they managed to clean the apartment quickly. 5. Claire is happy 😁 because she was able to help Mrs. Adam and also benefited financially from it.

Claire once came to feed Caesar and she saw a terrible mess she had never seen before. The cat managed to do it. 4) How did Claire manage to clean the apartment quickly? She called by phone to Sarah and Jack and then Jack arrived quite fast to help Claire to clean up the apartment quickly as fast as they could. As I understand Sarah hadn’t been able to arrive. 5) Why is Claire happy? So, Claire is happy because they managed to clean up Mrs. Adam’s apartment and she got reducing of cost for the apartment where she rents it.

Managed to это больше в сторону как бы совершившегося действия, то есть "справиться с чем то", а be able to это больше как "вопрос", "иметь возможность сделать что-то"? В предложении I wouldn't be able to do it without him мы не можем использовать managed to? Или нам мешает would? I wouldn't manage to do it without him - так нельзя? Спасибо.

А в будущем есть разница по смыслу в использовании be able to и manage to?

А можно ли сказать в этой ситуации I wouldn't have been able to do it without him вместо I wouldn't be able to do it without him?
