@@georgeconnell834 Kinda hard to do a fair size comparison with the camera angles but they are huge, slightly different body types, all seem to have their own specialties. Brian's probably the only guy there trying to not get as big as he can. I think that naturally his frame handles the mass better than the other guys. I mean Thor and Eddie for example, and even Tom look pretty unhealthy when they're in the 400's. Brian just walks around at 400 like it's nothing. I mean he looks completely fine at that weight. The other guys are breathing heavy from it.

@@wheelmanstan I'm a twig at 5"7' and barely 120 pounds. I never met a strong man in my life in person, but in these videos when they all stand next to things easy enough to gauge for scaling and size comparison like say just an apartment or a studio, regular stuff, a couch, a fridge, door frames etc... I am blown away by the size of those men. I absolutely understand why they have 'their own' competition, makes all the sense in the world. It's as close as we get to Meta Humans in this world, they probably represent something like 0.001% of the population in terms of optimal human body capabilities.

@@ronnana694 you would think so. Not a lot of Brian’s from longevity, consistency, and ambassadorship. That said from size, and ability, we have had 2 other guys of similar size and ability in Thor and Tom in the past 15 years. I’m sure with the increased popularity there will be more.

@@anthonyproffitt5341 6’8 seems the perfect height for strongman tho tbh any taller and it would be hard to fill out the frame to a point where it could deal with the weight of modern strongman competitions. There is a 6’11 strongman but he hasn’t been able to make it to the pro level yet

The best thing about strongman as a sport is that everyone truly wants the best for each other and each individual athlete pushes each other to their full potential. There’s not many sports where this happens, especially outside of a team, it’s great to see! Can’t wait to see how this year plays out💪🏼

I love the commarade between all of the guys. Especially in a matter of hours they'll be competing against each other to move the friggin State of South Carolina. Brian and Eddie have a special kinship. Something beyond just strongman has bonded them and it's awesome to watch.

Brian, you are and still are the greatest inspiration I've ever had in my life. Your strength of character and determination through every setback and speed bump has kept me on track to get back into weight lifting at the age of 47.
