I'm half Asian & Half Latino dad's Korean, Mom's from Paraguay. My dad is very scary because he's got an insanely deep voice and he has a "strong face" like the one with obvious jawlines so it adds intimidation. But my Dad I never got hit by my dad as a kid, he would only hit me with a pillow because he doesn't want me to get hurt physically. But my Mom, that Latina lady, I had experienced the zapato, chanclas, hangers, cintorones, los manos, periodicos, magazines, libros, Cuchara etc.. she would whoop my ass as a kid like I was being tortured by an enemy soldier 😆💀

That's interesting. An old college friend of mine is 100% Korean, but she and her sister were born in Paraguay because her family lived there when she was young. She speaks fluent Spanish, Korean, and English and even knows a little Guaraní. Your story reminded me of her

It's a joke that only makes sense in spanish, look: Casa, casita Silla, sillita Vaso, vasito Mamoelpo, ¿manuelito? MAMOELPO, ¡mamoelpito! In english that would be: House, small house Chair, small chair Glass, small glass Mamoelpo, small Manuel? (Spanish name) MAMOELPO, small mamuelpo! Mamoelpo isn't a word but the idea is how does mamoelpo sound when you say it in Spanish, if you want to say: (small + noun) in Spanish you need to put at the end of the word: "ita" or "ito" then small mamoelpo (english) would be mamoelpito (spanish) Also mamoelpito isn't a word but if you read in spanish that sound like it's three separate words in spanish: Spanish: mamo - el - pito English: I suck - the - dick So if Mamoelpo sound like mamo-el-po/I suck-the-po The conversation was: House, small house Chair, small chair Glass, small glass Isuckthepo, small isuckthepo? (Obviously in spanish sound like Manuel name) ISUCKTHEPO, ¡Isuckthedick! (using the Spanish form to convert the word)
