I feel sorry for her friends who waited for her and wasted their precious farewell time which never came back .

I think it's a bit selfish to keep your friends waiting for this long, it's their once-in-a-lifetime moment too, and they don't deserve to get it ruined by a "friend" who has no concept of time and throws unnecessary tantrums.
