Moscow being the capital is a terribly expensive city. It's not that you won't find anything at a cheaper price, you will definitely. But overall it's a very expensive. Similar is Saint Petersburg. However, if you go to other cities like Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Tyumen, Tver, etc you will find things cheaper.

It's hardly ”terribly expensive” for such a metropolis. Though obviously other cities of Russia are a lot cheaper.

@@user-xo5zt3ig6h Moscow is indeed an extremely expensive city. It consistently ranks among the most most expensive cities in the world. The rents are extremely high along with the overall cost of living. I have been to Russia many times so I know about it. Even, Russian citizens say the same. Compared to Moscow, other cities are relatively cheaper.

@@abirbo I live there so I might know better than you do lol Rent is cheaper than in other big cities like New York and London. And most Russians own their apartments anyway and don't prefer renting them like a lot of westerners seem to do. Unless they just moved from another city. Internet and mobile service are VERY cheap. Transport fees are also pretty affordable especially considering how convenient the public transportation system is. Services like taxi, food delivery, beauty services are quite cheap. And fast. And convenient. Healthcare and education is free. You're right, it's all ”terribly expensive” )))

@@user-xo5zt3ig6h You may very well live there, congratulations. What I have shared is what I have been told by Russians. Also, the same has been shared with me by another Moscow resident, who also happens to be an Indian youtuber and makes videos on his life in Russia. Yes, rent is cheaper than London and NY obviously due to different economic factors and income levels. Also, I have pointed out the price difference comparing Moscow with other Russian cities.

@@abirbo if you agree that it's ”obviously cheaper” than other megapolises which is the same that I said before, then what difference does it make what are the factors and reasons for that. It's like to argue that Tver is ”terribly expensive” compared to Moscow. And when the opponent would say that no it's not. You'd say, ”Well, obviously due to different economic factors and income levels, it's not. But it still is anyway.” That doesn't make any sense lol ”I have pointed out the price difference comparing Moscow with other Russian cities.” I said the same in my very first comment as well. Clearly that's not what I was disputing. Did you even read the comment before arguing with it? That's a rhetorical question, I see no point whatsoever in continuing this conversation.

Dear Brother, Please don't give wrong impression about people's purchasing power in Russia. A government employee in Russia does not get as much salary as in India. They get much less . It is a socialist country. Can you tell me how so many billionaires are there in Russia ? Why do many brilliant students go abroad ? Salaries are low but prices of some essential commodities are high. Those powder price is above 300 Rubules. These commodities are much more dearer than in India. Please think of common people of Russia who constitute the major chunk of population of that country. Even salaries of doctors are not very good.

मेरे घर पे नाई आकर बाल काट जाता है 100 रुपये मे। दाढ़ी बनाने का 50 रुपया। जिस दिन उसे बुलाते है तो घर मे 2 से अधिक लोग बाल / दाढ़ी बनवाते हैं। नाई को 300/ से 400 मिल जाता है।
