I have a question 1. Is it ok to put emergency generator for the electric fire pump in place of a diesel driven pump? 2. Example scenario "I will install Diesel Driven Fire Pump for the building. Is there any rule in NFPA or other standards that requires another installation of electric driven pump? Answers showing NFPA or other STANDARD provision is much appreciated... Thanks

Most of the times it is observed that although the seperate pump for sprinkler is provided both the risers i.e.sprinker and wet riser are connected to main pip line is it not necessary to provide a separate delivery line from pump riserwise.pl explain.

Static pressure is always higher than working residual pressure. The jockey pumps purpose is a maintenance pump to prevent the fire pumps from coming on. Helps the system maintain its static pressure. The pumps work off of a pressure switch, transducer or a nervous switch which tells them when to turn on and shut down.
