Practising the Principles of Prayer， by David Pawson
We don’t find prayer easy, but prayer is the vital element in our life as God intended. David Pawson says that Christian prayer is unique and at its heart is conversation with God. Our Father loves us to express our need to Him. David Pawson discusses the privilege of prayer, which he says is practising the presence of God.
Jesus is the centre of prayer - His teaching and example, His Blood and His intercession for us and our prayer in His Name. Who and what should we pray for? What was Jesus’ pattern and discipline in
prayer?
The Spirit shows us how to pray and He prays with us. We can pray with the mind and also at a level deeper than the mind.
David Pawson illustrates praying with tears, sighs and using other languages. He concludes by showing how we can receive the gift of praying in another language.

I learned so much from this teaching! What I don't understand is the common belief that Paul's thorn in the flesh was an illness. Or they say we don't know what it was. 2 Cor 12:10 plainly tells what his thorn was: weaknesses, insults, calamity, hardships, persecution. That's a pretty big thorn in the flesh! Much more so than just an illness.

True brother, I am Portuguese and all old and new Portuguese versions and Spanish, even English language is easy to understand it was persecution. Maybe this started because of the poor translation of the KJV

When you say that people do not encounter Satan, I find this hard to understand. My Bible says resist the Devil and he will flee, to put on the whole armor of God. Why say people do not encounter Satan? Like he lets millions or billions go their merry way. Who are you serving? Jesus is our example.

Satan asked to have the body of Moses the angel Michael said God are gonna rebuke you Michael did not what only God had tight to do . Because he have legal right here on earth to every sinner we can not resist satan ourself only resist the demons and fallen angels here on earth the first heaven . To resist satan are to be under god's protection obey him in everything and only there can we have the whole armour of God under his authority and power he make satan flee not we . Not even Jesus rebuked satan when he was tempted he only quoted scriptures and obeyed God . Satan and demons are not afraid of religious people only spirit filled people who live under god's protection we don't take on our armour sometimes we must have that all the time . So satan does not flee from us he flee from God
