Read Only understand : Turkey was slaughtering Orthodox Christians in Assyria and Armenia, Russia came to help them. Brings tears to my eyes...I know, I have an Irish name....on my mother's side of the family, I'm Polish, Ukranian and Russian. My grandfather loved our country so much that at the age of 51 during WW2, he volunteered to serve as a civilian in the Aleutian Islands. He spent 2 years there, with the privileges of a Staff Seargent in the US Army. He never talked much about it but I knew he was often under fire. This music is a beautiful tribute to those in the Ukraine that are under fire today, and to my grandfather that risked his own life to pay tribute to our country. Thank you!

“Prayer for Ukraine” is a hymn composed in 1885, during a time when Ukrainian language was suppressed by the government of Imperial Russia. The text is by poet Oleksandr Konynsky and the music by composer Mykola Lysenko. It is used as a hymn by the various churches in Ukraine, including the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and became a spiritual anthem for Ukraine. It makes a haunting aid to prayer in the current situation. This is a translation of the lyrics. Can't avoid shedding tears😭 while listening to this evn I can't understand the language of the song..😅 may God Almighty will keep on strengthening the Ukrainians in this dark hours of their lives.. and will put a stop to this senseless invasion of the selfish aggressors..God is always in control, we believe.. 🙏😑😐😶💝

@@diosnoexiste898 Zeus? He's a mythical Greek deity from ancient times. Who prays to him anymore (especially Ukrainians)? Kyril (and Putin) will be judged by God, as will we all. Remember that Christ said that "Truly, I say to you, that which you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me". He also said that "Not all who say to me Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven".
