His birthday is in January and he always enjoys celebrating with January sales and funnily enough his birthday gives us all something to look forward to in a month when traditionally there is not much going on, so for anyone with a January birthday and who doesn't enjoy it - remember that you are the joy of the season! OMG, I'm laughing so hard - Toilet rolls, dog treats, and gin...and a huge haul of mince pies, your grocery list is hilarious (and I hope you add those pies to your tasting list to rate them)! I also have no idea how you wear cream/white walking out into nature as you do without your perfect look being destroyed by splashes of mud, etc - And then you wash the pup wearing more white. It's like you have a magical power of avoiding mess while wearing the lightest colors possible. How do you do this?!

During the winter I have thick curtains and during spring and summer thin ones, it will really help to keep the house warmth inside and not lost through the windows!

I feel Christmas in January and February too. But in Texas, USA those are our coldest months. Fall is almost a 2nd spring at times. This year we actually have real fall colors.

I have one of the worst birthdays - January 1st. Everyone thinks it's fake, but it's not. When I was younger I got lots of alcohol-fuelled greetings, but now everyone kind of forgets. I wish my birthday was in July or something, then I wouldn't get all my presents in the space of a week!

To be born January 3rd, in the Northern Hemisphere is quite frankly the WORST! People are tired of festivities, adhering to New Year resolutions, gifts are the unwanted rummaged after holiday leftovers and friends and family don't want to spend any more money and want to get to the normalcy of work because it's typically the return to work/school day from the long holiday. No other birthday, do people reluctantly take you to lunch and watch their time and do not want to indulge in cake or drinks and feel the need to rush back to tasks. And occasionally Mother Nature likes to freeze you out of a gathering or toss you a blizzard parade! Goodness gracious, Happy Birthday to me!

Love the Chloe dress, but wow that price tag is eye-watering. Living in a warm climate, it's hard to justify that price for something that I might only get one or two wears per year. Looks fabulous on you though!

Hint if it gets really cold and freezing leaving your water running just a trickle will stop your water lines from freezing
