Congratulations on reaching the big 6K subscribers, you remain one of the best channels about comics on KZfaq. Richard, I'm very excited to see the Aussie book you have on the way. Stone the flamin' crows, is it a Newton comic? Maybe a bloody bonza Planet Comics DC reprint? Or a Golden Age reprint of an early Superman or Batman issue in stunning b/w? Note to Richard and John: nearly all the Aussie slang you hear on tv and in movies we do not use except in self-mockery. Online comics will draw more readers as physical comics increase further in price, as long as the online ones are cheaper. Pre-code horror and crime will remain popular but I don't think they'll eclipse superhero titles.

I too was a big fan of Cerebus in the early-late 80s and met Dave Sim a couple times (once as an indy cartoonist at The Spirit of Independence comic convention he sponsored). I stopped reading it past #150 all the way to the end, but did relent and buy the last couple issues. He did a book called Glamourpuss that was really out there, but then the narrative started covering the artistic techniques of the legendary Alex Raymond. Those stories led to Sim’s book The Strange Death of Alex Raymond.

Good day gentlemen. Those X-Men re-prints may retail stories, but the covers on them often are better than the original. They had some amazing art. That would be awesome blown up into posters. The best thing is you still get to read some amazing stories that you otherwise may be priced out of.

You have a good point about creator's longevity on a project, regarding Dave Sim and Erik Larsen. Maybe the hiatuses we endure on Saga are worth it, if it keeps the quality up.

Talking about titles that went off the rails... I was reading Once Upon a Time at the End of the World, which started off as a post-apocalyptic story of 2 very different strangers that are traversing the wasteland. That was the first story arc. The second story arc turned into a story about those same 2 strangers establishing a post-apocalyptic swingers community! I was like, huh? What just happened?

wow. i actually have the True Crime comic on the thumbnail. Just got it back from CGC and am the proud owner of the 3rd lowest grade on the census. lol. Just bought it randomly a long time ago because it was old and cheap. Never seen it before or since in the world. Imagine my surprise when it showed up on the thumbnail of my favorite comic show. So weird. Small world. Keep up the great work!!!

Don’t forget original art and statues! Plenty of directions one can go with their collection. Myself, I’m mostly comics and toys.

I had problems reading these issues, because of the way the comics were laid out. Unreadable. Hard to make out the pages, and too dark. I am still disappointed.
