I love reading with my grandchildren. As soon as they get here, they excitedly rush to the book cupboard. I usually invent silly voices, whispering, then shouting, doing all the noises or laughing like a witch 😂 I amuse myself with their reactions, when reading a very familiar book, I sometimes say the wrong word or doing the ‘wrong voice’ (on purpose) I buy a lot of books from charity shops or local Facebook groups. Thank you for sharing even more tips and tricks! I will be adding instruments in future ☺️

That is super useful; it is really important that they engage the story as they have the chance to answer questions about what is going on and so on. Thanks a lot :)

One of my grandsons favourite books is A Fisherman's Tale by Keith Faulkner. Grandma would highly recommend this fun lift the flap book for young readers.

Appreciate Video! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Millawdon Future Ticket Trick (search on google)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for teaching children to read without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cooworker at last got astronomical success with it.

1 year had passed by now since we utilized this 4ChildrenLearningReading.blogspot.com a reading manual. My little princess is constantly enhancing her own reading capabilities so far. She these days reads beginning chapter books and is also a great speller. She also makes up brief stories and also constructs sentences. ..

My little boy has problem reading books even though he managed to graduate from pre-school. The trainer sensed concerns that he might be able to enroll grade and advised to hold him back. But I didn’t stop trying right until I discovered this particular ChildrenLearningReading5.blogspot.com a reading guidebook. His own reading abilities are excellent for the 1st grade student and also his development definitely surprised the trainer. She also stated the story to other people.

What are your views on cursive writing at reception?
@LittleLearnersVideos
@LittleLearnersVideos 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Juberia - I think cursive writing can be great because once children start eventually joining up their letters, the muscle memory helps them to spell words easily. However, if a child doesn't get on with cursive, personally I see no problem with them writing in non-cursive.

@@LittleLearnersVideos thanks so much. Our school has started cursive from reception and most of the children are still learning the print alphabet. Have you taught reception cursive? What age do you think it's most appropriate to start cursive?
@LittleLearnersVideos
@LittleLearnersVideos 5 жыл бұрын
I have taught cursive at Reception, we would actually start teaching cursive straight away, rather than non cursive. Then for children who struggle we would start them off with non-cursive, but that wouldn't be many children.

@@LittleLearnersVideos that's really interesting as I thought most children would find it difficult on a cognitive level and because children's fine motor skills aren't fully developed until 7. So by the end of Reception were most of your children fine with cursive? Did they struggle at the beggining? Our school is using precursive. I'm worried children will get confused with directions of squiggles ( lead in stokes on 'a' etc). Did you experience this with your children? I'm so grateful for your time.

Sorry I meant percussive, so by the end of Reception most protein cursive. Some started to join up in Year 2. I'm of the opinion that you should let children do whatever works for them. If they like precursive and cursive then great. If it's stopping them from reaching their potential in writing then handwriting style shouldn't be the main focus.

It`s already been 1 year since we began reading manual “Wamzοzο Loli” (Gοοgle it). My daughter is continually developing her own reading skills up to now. My child at this moment reads beginning books and is a marvelous speller. What’s even more fascinating is she can easily writes sentences now.. .
