To be more precise, it is a prayer of epiklesis and it is constituted in the form of dialogue between priest and deacon. It is the holiest part of the Divine Liturgy

This is a part of the Divine Liturgy of our ancient Orthodox brothers, it isn’t a show or concert for your or anyone’s entertainment. It’s a communion with the Lord, and the music is part of the prayer. To me, knowing this makes it all the more beautiful. ❤

There is only one Church.. the Orthodox Church, this is a chant during a service in a Romanian orthodox church. There are faithful layman and clergy in the UK. Look up father Spyridon’s channel on youtube, he is a great example!
