More Meccano Riley building and a farm walk. I forgot the link to the Federation Soldier page: www.blakes-7.co.uk/gadgets/fe...

Nice work on the Meccano. Back in the day, Meccano differentials were a well documented assembly, so very doable, if not always to scale. If you ever decide to add a clockwork motor, it's possible to build a working chassis, but that may be too much of a digression from what you're trying to achieve. Great looking model so far.

There are lots of really good sites about with old plans and historic articles so a lot of great info out there as you say. I don't have quite the right parts to make a diff yet. I'll keep an eye out for more old Meccano though. It comes up for sale all the time.

Ha! Small world, I only just found out about your channel from Oak Swamp. Meccano might be the next big thing among us old car types.

I have to admit, I may be getting a bit too much enjoyment out of your irritation with the loose Meccano steering. :D I think the model is going to look perfect for what it is. Cheers

Yep, have to remember you can only work to the limitation of the parts. Make me appreciate how accurate Lego Technic is in comparison.
