Three of the most important factors that impact treatment outcome are depth, position and angle of entry. If you want to get these right, you must become a precision injector.
In fact, the best aesthetic practitioners are like deadly snipers - only their fingers move!
In this week's Aesthetics Mastery Show Dr Tim explains how to stabilize the rest of your body, as well as how to calm your mind in order to get into flow.
Dr Tim also examines the anatomy of the lips, frontalis and orbicularis oculi because of how potentially harmful poor positioning, depth and angle of entry can be in those area.
Let us know in the comments if this week's Show helped.

Excellent teaching as always. I'm am teaching my clients everyday, usually during consults, at start and at end of visits . When performing the filler injections I tend not to talk through it with the client as they are usually trying to focus on relaxation and I am highly focused - to the point I don't speak or hear much around me. Lips with vertical injections always take me the longest of any area for filler injection and I'm good with running late if needed. I aactually schedule extra time for the lips so I do not ever feel rushed and can perform a safe and artful result. I love your brilliant mind!

Thank you!!!! I am a new injector with 25 years ER experience and about to open my clinic. I have been stalking your you tube videos and webinars, because I thoroughly enjoy the method in which you present and the manner in which you explain everything that you do and WHY! I will continue to watch and learn form you as I develop my skills. Thank you! Sallie

I frequently dive deep with my patients into anatomy and technique before I inject. When I am doing the consultation I show them the pattern and describe why I am using this particular pattern based on their own anatomy. I also discuss reasoning behind product choice and results at this time. I find I do not talk much while I am injecting, unless I am doing a particular maneuver in which they may feel something different, or I happen to be taking extra time with. My patients appreciate these conversations, but I am also mindful if too much of this causes them unwelcome stress.

Another great video Dr Tim! I’ve put my face in the hands of several injectors who never explained where they were injecting nor did they prepare me for any discomfort. You were spot on explaining how it feels having botox injected into the forehead. I got a shock the first time this happened and it made me anxious! If only this was explained I could have tolerated it a lot better. As patients if we understand why an injection stings or feels shallow or deeper it can change our entire experience. I remember going for cheek augmentation and the injector used a cannula, at the time I had no clue what that was. I was expecting a needle injection, so you can imagine my confusion trying to work out what was in my face! Needless to say I never went back 😖 thank you for your transparency and information 👌🤩

I've just started on the road of aesthetics and with each of my first 6 clients(anti wrinkle) I have explained why I'm mapping out ...pre treatment and then post treatment I discuss more and try and give them product knowledge or why I'm positioning ...... If they understand I'm happy and then that will lead to further treatments or facial products etc with time .... I hope/think! Thank you

Thank you for all these videos! I am happy to know that over the last 16+ yrs I'm injecting very similar! Phew! I do find my patients are interested. I take much longer to do filler than most injectors, but my patients really appreciate it. Many of my patients I've seen for 10+ years and they are so loyal. They'll wait 2-3 months because I explain what I'm doing, why, and why I'm careful and I think they really appreciate it.

Just started my aesthetic journey and I continually inform pt of what I'm doing and why but mainly pre and post treatment as I go into a concentration zone although I may talk out loud! This is just botox not filler yet - got to get my big girls pants out for that next stage!

I love your philosophy of facial aesthetics and how well thought out your approaches and decisions are. I am a surgeon that trained a long time ago and we had the luxury and privilege of spending time with our patients and obtaining a good history and performing a good physical exam. No question that is my approach with my aesthetics patients. I take the time to explain why we are doing what we are doing and let them know what to expect. We go over post op instructions and potential complications very carefully. They really appreciate that and also don’t feel like they are in a factory - in and out, no talk, thank you mam or sir. I just wish I could parasitism your brain for several hours and absorb the knowledge you have to impart. If you have ideas/recommendations on to how to become a better injector, im open to suggestions; love the field but feel defficient

Everything you have said in our eyes is what makes the best injectors. You already have it! The injections themselves can be taught but it’s your patient focused self that is your being and soul that is the hardest to teach. Dr Tim’s philosophy is everything you embody so please do watch his KZfaq and IG videos. He also does training too where you have full access to Dr Tim himself in key mentorship, coaching and training in his Mastery Programme. www.skinvivatraining.com/aesthetics-mastery/ I hope this helps. Kind regards Mary. Clinical advisor for Dr Tim.

Well not too long ago I was in a beauty salon witnessing two ladies fight with packets of highlights defending who has the best injection techniques 😂😂 One said "well my lady knows magic tricks" I said I'm very interested in magic 🎩 She told me "take metformin in low doses to lose weight" I said you can also exercise to lose weight. She said I don't have the time.
