I wish .25 ACP was more popular. The recoil of a .22LR with the reliability of centerfire.

I love the 25ACP. My 25 ACP is around 100 years old and runs like a sewing machine. Plus, it’s like a beautiful little pocket watch that will obviously last for generations. Two hands are not necessary and can cause complications from interference with the slide. Thanks for the video.

They're really amazing little guns. I used to believe that older guns were unreliable (because that was my experience)... but there definitely were reliable firearms (like these and the 1911 for example).

I have had a baby browning from the first year of import to the US. I have also had a Beretta Jet Fire and have ept my 1922 version of the Colt 1908. I once attempted to learn about obtain and write a magazine article about the PSA. Review on-line sites did not produce any convincing evidence that the items were legitimate and telephone contact with the sole and only human presence in the company was productive of Alarm Bells. I finally read a magazine article that pronounced the psa to be of high quality- much the same as your excellent review.

That's awesome. I have debated getting one to pair with my 21A .22, but I think I could convert my 21 with a different slide, barrel and mag. Might go up to the Tomcat .32 if I buy a new pocket gun.

The PSA/PSP .25 auto is a very well-made, accurate firearm. I contacted the Owner of the company, singing the praises of his beautiful little creation & he very much appreciated it. I hope he sells Millions of these beautifully made little pistols.

Not too many videos on this particular gun (the PSA version, that is), so thanks for doing this. I was just watching Hickok 45 try to shoot a Baby Browning last night and his hands were so big, he had hold the gun in one hand and actually use the other to work the trigger.
@BuckeyeBallistics
@BuckeyeBallistics Жыл бұрын
I believe it! His hands are huge. I have small hands and if mine were any bigger, it would certainly be a struggle to shoot it.

I really wish there were videos comparing them to others. There are dozens of copies of the Baby Browning and they're all different sizes. Like, I think the Colt is one of the largest... and the Bauer is Bigger than the Baby Browning... and in one video a PSP was smaller than the Baby Browning (by a good amount)... but then in another video someone had a PSA/PSP that was the same size as the Browning. I would just love to be able to see pictures/videos of them all compared, so I could at-least see which one's are smaller and which one's are larger. Makes it impossible to really know what I want when I can't even tell what size they are. In any case though, it seems like they're all excellent firearms. No matter which company makes them or what size they are, they all seem to be good, reliable firearms.

@deucedeuce1572 The original Baby Browning (model of 1931), the PSA, and the Bauer are all the same size. In fact, most of the parts are interchangeable, including the magazines.
@DeanMk1
@DeanMk1 8 ай бұрын
@@Just1American1966 Correct. The Bauer and the PSA are simply newer copies of the Baby Browning. The difference lies between that gun and the original Colt Vest Pocket of 1908. However, they're all around the same size. Same goes for the Walther 9. An unrelated model of approximately the same size and caliber.

The PSP & PSA guns are very high quality pistols. Many call the PSP&PSA guns copies of the Baby Browning and that's not entirely accurate as FN contracts PSA to make the BB for them from time to time. I've got 1 BB from 1959 and 1 from 1967 that I ocasionaly carry when I need something truely tiny. The owner of PSA is incredibly helpful with the BB and the PSA, PSP guns. Both the BB & PSA/PSP guns are very reliable. They do have to be shot with a low hold to keep from slide bite but once this is practiced they're a lot of fun to shoot. They're very accurate for the type of gun they are. 7 yard groups under 1'' are possible with lots of practice and good eyes

Is there any revolver cartridge that is similar? Anything between .32 short and .22?
@frankbrowning328
@frankbrowning328 Жыл бұрын
I don't know of a modern cartridge between. 25 ACP and 32 ACP but there are a number of old European revolvers that show up now and then in 25 ACP. Both the 25 & 32ACP are semi-rimless and have just enough rim to work in a revolver

🤔25 acp can be effective if used right,, but I recommend always have something in a larger caliber, most bad guys don't want to be shot, and can be a deterrent, but a 25 is a shoot and scoot, not a stand your ground round, but a P shooter for their P shooter 😁👍

Forgive my ignorance but I'm new to firearms. I have a little psp 25 as in the video. I came here to see if there is such thing as an extended magazine or "grip extension" for this gun. So I have a few dumb questions if I may. 1. Is a "grip extension" just that only or does it give you any extra rounds? 2. Is there such thing as an extended magazine for this gun? 3. Where can I find either of these, i.e...company name ( I googled without much success) And finally, 4. A quick google search and I found a few mentions that this gun is not legal to carry in an effort to "ban" such small guns? Is there any truth to this? I'm in Arizona. THANK YOU to whomever can help with any of these questions.

Anyone ever see one that can field strip for the most part, but the barrel can not be removed from the slide? I ordered parts for a friend to have Cerakoted for him, but the barrel cannot be removed from the slide. I know how it's done... but the lugs that lock into the frame will not fit out the front of the slide. After the slide is removed, you normally straighten the barrel back out and then the barrel just comes out the front... but on the PSA slide I got for him, the lugs are just too big. I can't even imagine how they got it in there in the first place. I think they may have installed the slide and then stamped the metal, so the barrel can never be removed. I don't know why they would do that though... and if the front lug at the muzzle fits through the hole, then why don't the rear lugs at the breech fit?
@chrisstrefling6193
@chrisstrefling6193 3 ай бұрын
You can remove the barrel from the slide. You remove from the back of the slide. I suggest looking for a video of field stripping a baby browning or a Bauer 25acp. They all take down basically the same
@deucedeuce1572
@deucedeuce1572 3 ай бұрын
@@chrisstrefling6193 I know it can be, I'm asking if anyone ever saw that can't be. They're not complicated firearms.... but the parts I have are inseparable. The barrel just simply cannot be removed from the slide. It's like the slide was pinned/peened to not let the barrel come out of it. I can't really see in there well enough though to see if that's the case. I just simple cannot remove the barrel from the slide. I remove the slide from the frame, then straighten the barrel back out to slide it out the front of the slide... but once the lugs on the barrel reach the front hole that's on the slide, they just don't fit through that hole. Not even the first lug/groove will fit through it no matter how hard I pull. If it did fit, then even a monkey could eventually remove it, even if completely on accident. They would normally just fall right through once lined up.

Damn, those sights aren't just tiny, buy they're not even centered. Looks like they were hand filed by someone that never held a file before. It's not even close. The other thing I thought though was that the gun shoots right, so they made the sight to match the point of impact.
